  1. What's the best way to update my DSM version from its current version of 5.0-4418? Which version should I update to that's pretty stable? I need to backup my config in case my USB stick that has my DSM installed ever breaks. It's now the only thing that could seriously affect my stuff. Any help much appreciated. I've been searching through the forum for a few days now trying to find out the answer to my questions but there's too much info that has left me confused.
  2. I didn't realise I could. What's the procedure to do that?
  3. This is what I see. Sorry about the quality. As you can see the Configuration Backup tab is missing completely for me.
  4. Mine doesn't even see the server. Just says unable to connect when I try from my iPad Air Plex app. I can connect from my Android app on my Moto X but it will only allow me to stream music. If I try to stream any video files, I get an error saying Oops there's been an issue followed by an error saying it can't play the file. I've opened port 32400 on my router successfully and also tried to disable my Synology firewall completely but no luck.
  5. I don't have any option for Configuration Backup here. It only prompts me to update my DSM version.
  6. Is this possible? I've searched all over the net for a solution but can't find nothing. Basically I'm trying to stream to my iPad from my Xpenology DSM 5 beta server. I've just bought Plex for my iPad but it's unable to connect to my server. I can access the server from Plex for Android through my Moto X. How are the rest of you streaming to your iPad's?
  7. I seem to be missing the Video Station app from my DSM 5.0 Beta server. I've looked in the Packages section but am not able to find it or search for it. Can anyone help?
  8. Once I've done the boot image onto another USB, do I then run the Synology Assistant to install the O/S?
  9. Guys, I want to make a copy of my USB stick that I'm currently using to boot Xpenology for redundancy purposes. Am I correct is saying I can just plug it into my Windows PC and copy the files over? Is there any sort of config file that's stored on the stick that contains all the settings? I'm using DSM 5.0 beta.
