    gnoboot & DSM 5.0-4482 - Experiences?

Did 4482 work for you as well on your VM of DSM? I have not tried it, based on all the issues I've read from other people. But since my setup is ESXI, I might as well try it over the weekend, just a VM to delete if it doesn't work.

    gnoboot & DSM 5.0-4482 - Experiences?

I'm not sure if anyone has tested to see if maybe it is just a serial number check? I own a Synology NAS, and I gave my ESXI Xpenology the SN of my offline real NAS and the MAC of my offline real NAS, and it seems like features such as the buildt in dynamic DNS etc all work for me.

How to update gnoboot in Esxi 5.5

I don't know if there is a "guide" I mounted the .vmdk with IMDISK and just swapped the only files that seemed to have changed, zImage, put it back in my VM with the new ZImage and done, updated to 10.5

I'm really not sure why some of you are freaking out over security issues. First, any device like this should be behind a firewall, do you really have Samba shares or log-ins open to a public facing interface? Second, I can't imagine using XPEnology in a production environment, if you are .. shame on you, I hope you get fired. Secure your network and XPEnology device properly, only open ports needed too and from locations accessed and you should have no security concerns. I highly doubt your wife is going to exploit CVE-2013-4496 to get a look at your porn collection. Relax, -Almstsobur
