I tried to login with user@IP-Diskstation after creating the authorized keys under homes/user but got publickey permission denied. I don't know why i can't access rsync server as root.

The key files seems to be okay. I can use ssh in console at the remote nas and it does automatically connect to the local machine without asking for password (as root). I activated rsync service and rsync account. The rsync account is new in DSM 6. May this is the culprit?

Update went fine - thx al lot for your help. Had a few problems with sabnzbd, but these are solved. Can i run update 2 via webinterface or do i have load it manually with a pat-file. And one bigger issue: I'm running a backup-job from another NAS to my diskstation using rsync with ssh-keys. After update the other NAS cannot connect to the rsync server on the disksation. Login on console with ssh works. I read about some changes on the dsm side, but i'm not sure how to what's the problem.

Thx. I will give this a try. So this will give me back all my settings i had under DSM 5.2-5644 Update 5 after migration. I recently made some settings for some backup jobs via ssh and private/openkey and won*t lose them.

Sorry in advance for a dumb question, but is it possible to upgrade to Version 6 and keep all data on a HP N40L. I only read about VM and EXSI running the latest version. Is there any kind of tutorial? tia

Das Problem lag am Browser, mit einem anderen Browser kam die Fehlermeldung nicht. Ich habe danach direkt das Update2 manuell geladen und via ssh die Updatedatei geändert. Update2 ist eingespielt. Mittlerweile läuft auch Sickbeard und Co. danke für die Hilfe

Ich führe mal hier im Forum weiter - vielleicht hilft es ja auch anderen. Ich bin jetzt DSM 4458, aber noch ohne Update 1 bzw. Update 2. Wie kann ich jetzt das Update fahren? Das Online-Update der WebGUI bietet ja schon 4482 an. edit again: Ich wollte jetzt das Update 2 manuell hochladen, bekomme aber den Fehler: Vorgang fehlgeschlagen. Merci für die Antwort. Deine Anleitung ist mir heute Abend schon mal über den Weg gelaufen D. h. ich muss den gnoBoot Loader benutzen und dann in Grub auswählen. Das teste ich morgen mal. Ein Problem hätte ich noch. Ich wollte SabNzbd über die Paketquellen installieren und habe http://packages.synocommunity.com/ hinzugefügt. Leider wird Sabnzbd nicht in den Paketen angezeigt. edit: Habe die zusätzlichen Pakete doch gefunden

Hallo und erst mal Grüße ans Forum. Ich bin heute von OMV auf DSM umgestiegen und noch Frischling. Aktuell läuft die Version 4.3 von trantor. Da das System noch jungfräulich ist, wollte ich eigentlich die aktuelle Version aufspielen. Wie komme ich jetzt am Besten von 4.3 auf DSM5. Muss ich den Weg über gnoboot gehen oder geht das irgendwie über das Webinterface? Eine zweite Frage hätte ich auch noch. Ich habe noch die alte HDD aus OpenMediaVault und zusätzlich eine neue HDD, welche momentan im HP N40L verbaut ist. Kann ich die alte Platte - mit noch vorhandenen Daten - in das DSM-System migrieren? grüße
