  1. Hey guys, like @alirz1 I too wonder is it safe to update to the latest update?  But more so, my question is, I want to update my server to a 10 core/20 thread Xeon cpu. I know this is more than what DS3622xs+ normally has. Will upgrading to this cpu, will it cause an issue with my Xpenology? Thanks.

Installed truenas core, all ok, gel full internet speed, can update, can install addons, etc etc, so that works good, but interface and services are far far away from xpenology. At this point i don't know what will be the next step, i am stuck at here. Hope somebody can help me.

You can try terramaster nas os. There has been breakthroughs on getting it installed on third party hardware. If you have Facebook, go to search Xpenology group. You will find the info there.

  3. Question for anyone that may have seen this behavior. I have an old T20 Dell Tower with 4 3.5 4tb hard drives. I installed DSM 7.2 923+ on it and everything seems fine except this is the only platform that I've seen that makes your hdd run excessively hot. The temp is averaged at 126F or around 50C. Has anyone else seen this?  Thanks.

  4. I have a question. We know that under /etc/nginx Synology uses nginx. Their version absolutely sucks. I tried to remove this and found out the hard way this is not good unless it can be modified to stop listening to 0.0.0.0:443. I would like to be able to install ANY OTHER reverse proxy. I've been trying to install nginx via docker and it doesn't seem to work for me. I've changed the ports and everything, example 80:80 and 443:443 to 8611:80 and 4343:443 with no success of it working. Always get a "challenge failure" Trying to kill the stock process only get it to turn back on. Deleting the folder cause loss of communication to the device via browser.

  5. @pocopico Just reporting, SA6400, FA6400, DVA1622, DS923+,  doesn't auto pull extensions on all the 7.2.0 builds. Also they all give the "unable to detect if encrypted". With that said, thank you for all the work with all of this. Its been a joy tinkering and testing with your software. It is most appreciated.

  6. Hey guys, trying to install any platform, I keep getting drives not found. Not using a raid card, its just the hdd controller on the motherboard. All extensions are being detected. I'm also getting "unable to detect if pat is encrypted" error on anything 7.2 no matter the version. I tried to go back and use the previous loader version, but it wouldn't auto add extensions. Any suggestions will be appreciated

Would it be possible to request one of the platforms I mentioned to be added? Would love to be able to use more than 16 cores/threads with xpenology. Also thanks for the list. I saw that the DVA1622: 7.0.1 U6 -> 7.1.0 U4 -> 7.1.1 U5 -> 7.2.0 is available. It uses a celeron cpu with also uses intel integrated gpu 600. The intel cpus i3-i7 7th gen uses 630. This is uses with opencv with this devices for face detection, person detection and so on. Would using the 7th gen cpu work for this platform to get face detection working? Thanks.

  8. Is there a full list of all supported devices? I know the following devices support cpus/threads 20 or higher (which is what I'm looking for)

    FS3600 Intel Xeon D-15671224✓ Broadwellnk DDR4 ECC RDIMM 16GB  (24 threads)

    HD6500 Intel Xeon Silver 4210R x 21020✓PurleyDDR4 ECC RDIMM 64GB  (20 threads)

  10. @pocopico

So I switched to html and tried building this way. When download the pat file it say it couldn't tell if the pat file was encrypted or unencrypted. Possibly corrupted.

Update: I switched to DS1621+, built on HTML, and was able to install 7.2.0-64561 on AMD Athlon II 270 CPU.

  11. Question, with 7.2 being released and I know you guys are working on this (Great, Great job and thank you for all the efforts by the way) will all platforms using "friend" be able to just run the update from settings update or will we have to rebuild the platform specifically for 7.2?  Thanks.

Since DS923+ is a Device-Tree based model, SataportMap is not used.

That would make since on why it worked. If it helps at all the checksum also said mismatch. There rest was a mile long. I can also say I didn't have this issue with the previous version 9.43.

Can you show me the capture or log again in which part specifically the checksum error is coming out?

Sorry, as I stated in my update, after switching to 923+ it installed. I didn't go back and try 3622xs+. The hardware was E3-1225 Intel Sata controller C220, which was suppose to have 6 sata ports, but only had 4. When I installed 923+, I made sure all satamap was 4 and Disk was 00.

  14. Hey guys, I need some help. I got a Dell Poweredge T20 that keeps giving me bad ports and its detecting 6 ports when only having 4 ports on the board. I ignore this and manually edit the user_config file setting disksatamap to "4" and diskmap to "00". I run the build and I see a checksum error, and gives a jumbled mess of letters and numbers. The build finishes, I backup, and reboot.  Oh and I also added withfriend. When I went to install dsm, it showed the 4 drives that I have filling the 4 actual sata ports. I upload the file, click to install and the install finishes. But after awhile I realize that it brings me back to the "welcome" as if I just turned it on after finishing the build. Any ideas? Thanks.

  15. So has anyone experienced after upgrading to TCRP Friend, when booting into it, it shows an IP Address, but your network not registering it as being on the network? I can boot into the regular usb option no problem. Its like when booting into the TCRP Friend, it connects, but then disconnect otherwise why and how would it get an IP Address from the network?  This is an old PC network driver Realtek R8168 AMD Athlon II CPU. Thanks.
