    maybe unrelated, I had issues with cold power up with this board and it got better by removing the bios jumper, asrock j4205-itx supports jumperfree so I see no damage in trying it also.

    I will try and make a detailed explanation with what works for me when I get back from work.

    I mentioned "video=eDP:d video=DP-1:d video=HDMI-A-1:d video=HDMI-A-2:d" is not working for me. just remove the cables

    Тут кто то жаловался что у него плохо транскодиг с потоком 80 мб/сек справляется - у каждого свое понимание) 

    I meant  1 x 1080p.DD5.1.x264 + sub to 720p is buffering every 10/20 sec

    I tried to remove all optional modules, not only those on your list, but it did not help. Maybe because I didn't unplug the monitor)

    monitor unplug only fixes the sudden reboot when trying to transcode,

    to check if the driver is ready just see if /dev/dri exist, type "ls /dev/dri"

    for videostation hw transcode you need an original sn+mac not sure it''s the case for plex.

    can you share dmesg output with me?

    Hi,

    I removed the faulty i915 drivers from extra, you can download and test it here.

    • hw transcoding is working but performance is low on both videostation and plex but I don't think is related to the loader.
    • on ASRock j4205-ITX you have to unplug any monitor before using hw transcoding otherwise the system will reboot, this one might be due to /dev/dri permissions or the DP to hdmi coverter on this board.
    • reboot/shutdown is working properly again.
    • I recommend doing a clean install, formatting the hard drive before testing.
    • You can test disabling video outputs in the grub, for me it didn't install properly. 
    • video=eDP:d video=DP-1:d video=HDMI-A-1:d video=HDMI-A-2:d

    Need hardware advice for xpenology with plex

    Hi,

     

    Any Idea why scaling_driver is acpi-cpufreq and not INTEL_PSTATE? intel_pstate=enable don't work either.

    ok, so da actual reboot problem was on 6.1.7, since the pat file has the same name like 6.2 I installed 6.1.7, 6.2 it is more stable in that regard, still sometimes the network don't work soft reboot.

    First you need to download the client from the web with plex pass active so you get the enable hw transcoding option, second you can force hw transcoding by disabling the direct play in player options

    I know from previous tries that you need original serial+mac, you can find some on google.

    Hi,

     

    I have the same issue with reboots, or the whole server going offline even if it's powered up with network lights working. I have test hw transcoding and it seem to be working but it the processor is not boosting, I have j4205 and it stays at 1.5 ghz.
