I have installed a working intel dual port 1000mt server adapter into my sinology box and it doesn't detect it when booted up.
Anyone had any luck with these cards??? Its a PCiEx4 low profile card.

well noticed, don't think I would need it anyway. if I wanted to add sata ports ive found this Jetway ADMPEASS3A
2 Sata 3 ports via mini pciexpress port.

Im looking for a low power board to power my next xpenology build.

Pretty much any onvif compliant camera will work, my lilin cameras arnt listed but work perfectly at 1080p.

aacraid is already included but maybe it's too recent version to handle these card properly.
I will build it with the kernel sources
I don't suppose your going to be releasing a update to beta 7 with the modified kernel before releasing beta 8??

Really dying for a full support of LSI RAID cards 9211 in particular, with the ability to install and boot XPEnology form attached drives.
I own a LSI 9211-4i, unfortunately for now it's not possible to install DSM on drives attached to it, but disks are detected in DSM when it's installed on a drive connected to the motheboard.
Yesterday I build a test version with mpt2sas driver built-in the kernel and not loaded as module.... no yet tested on my system ^^
Don't think its still possible to do this one, not sure though, this quote is from page 2.

Don't suppose you could throw in drivers for an adaptec 5805 raid adapter.
My array is built but DSM wont detect and drives or volumes.

in the server I have decided to play with sinology on I have a hardware raid card, an adaptec 5805 controller with bbu, would it be best to use this for the raid or sinology's build in hybrid raid??

I have managed to get 3202 running today but would like to upgrade to 4.3 to match what I have on my NAS box.
I have tried several downloads today but keep getting error 21 when I load in the pat file.
Any ideas on how to update or anyone know what error 21 means??

I have the release from page 4, 4.2-3202 working on my hyper-v server, is there a working update to this as ive tried a few releases from the site and all end with error 21.
I don't know if this is something im doing wrong or the wrong release.

At the moment I am running 10tb of space on 2 hyper-v virtual servers, what I would like to do is install xpenology onto a virtual machine, map my existing raid array to it, or something that would make it possible.
my plan is to keep my 1 virtual machine running my domain server and the 2nd running xpenology.
I currently run an adaptec 5805 raid card, 6 drives, and 2 drives for OS which I plan to move to 2 ssd's in mirror once all sorted.
I want to know the best way to go about this.
my concern is formatting my raid, moving all my data, then DSM not meeting all of my requirements and having to reformat.
