Unfortunately did not work. I really can't get my head around it. It's a HP N54L AMD Turion II Neo with 8GB. Baremetal install with Jun 1.02b and it works all flawlessly, unless I reboot.....then it's gone, unable to find it. :-(

I took the opportunity to choose "new install" instead of migration. This did the trick, even updated to update 5 :-). I lost all my DSM settings (not my files of course, but for now that is ok. Reboots and runs flawlessly. Thanks for your support. SOLVED

The driver for the N54L's network card is definitely in jun's 1.02b loader as my N54L is running with it right now. Do you have a spare HDD that you could try a clean install with?

No, unfortunately not. So you can reboot without issues? Weird. It is running now, so I need to find a solution before rebooting :-) Could it be that, on install in DSM finder, I picked upgrade instead of new install?

When it boots up without the disks what's showing in control panel, has DSM recognised update 4? Have you tried using a different USB to see if you get the option to reinstall?

When it boots up it gets recognised by synology finder, but unable to install because of missing disks. Tried different USB as well. What I did found out is when in June loader I pick reinstall (2) and re-install the pat file it is there again without update. A reboot makes it disappear again from the network and no IP is allocated. I am sure it has nothing to do with update 4, but probably related to missing driver for the internal network card of the HP microserver. I am trying to find out if the driver is loaded on juns 1.02b version. Not sure how to check this.

    Thx for answering!

Yes I did change the serial no as I have 2 servers & didn't want them both the same. Looking at my grub.cfg I also removed all of the menuentry items except for

    menuentry "DS3615xs 6.1 Baremetal $VERSION" --class os {
            set img=
            savedefault
            loadlinux 3615 usb
            loadinitrd
            showtips
    }

Same here. At first I thought it was related to the update 4, However, After reinstall it got back up, but after reboot it was gone again. Have you found a solution?

  5. I did the upgrade on my N54L AMD and it worked fine with me too, using Jun's Loader 1.02b with correct PID/VID, Sn+Mac to 6.1

However, After upgrade to update 4 it does not come back up when the disks are in. Without them it gets an ip and is visible. Putting the disks back in I don't see it anymore. Any tips? Appreciate some direction in what to look for. Tx all!

  6. On the new alpha loader , the AMD menu item is commented out. Does this mean Jun, that this alpha is not yet for AMD? Or can I adjust myself by changing the AMD rom? Thank you.

  7. Hi all

I just upgraded my N54L from DSM 5.2 to 6.0 using jun 1.0.1 bootloader, everything look ok except the USB device are no more recognize . I'm using my NAS to also host a domotic application , so i have several USB controller attached to the host (for example a Zwave controller) , but since the upgrade none of them are recognize they are even not showing up in any log or in lsusb command.

The specific driver seem to be loaded correclty

    ehci_hcd 39332 1 ehci_pci

Only thing i notice is that the lsub report a strange device

Any hint on troubleshooting action i can take to progress ?

    Thanks for your help

    Hi Gogel123,

I am on the same machine as you and running dsm6 with jun's loader. Since the kernel is based on the DMS6 beta version it looks like it's not working. Jadahl does not support xpenology machines, so I am wondering how you did it? I use it for Domoticz RFXcom and P1 smart meter cable. Any ideas? Much appreciated.

  8. hello with the last loader on my N40L, the RTL8153 in my hub usb3 doesn't work

I found why my UPS was no longer connected, the USB chipset original for N40L does not work, I plugged in my USB3 hub in my PCI usb3 and is now detected

Hey jun, do you think that it's possible to integrate the driver for USB chipset of the N40L into your image ?

    +1

  9. 2) Not -solved -I cannot seem to get the USB serial drivers to work with Jadahl's latest Domoticz version after the update for the use with rfxcom and p1 smart meter cable. This might be related to using another kernel image?

Do you know what usb serial chip it is using? Because my v2 ramdisk/boot image contains drivers (kernel modules) for ftdi_sio, cp210x, ch341 and pl2303. I have tested usb serial adapters with FTDI an cp210x and both works OK. If yours is missing I can add it.

Thanks a lot Arcao, but i am not much of a tech specialist. It's a hpn54l with amd processor. On DSM 5.2 I had seperate

Usb serial driver package which worked out of the box. Jadahl (.com) is offering a domoticz package for 3615 running dsm 6. But i think it is ok only for real syno's. Don't get me wrong. Domoticz runs, but unfortunately not showing ttty usb 0 and 1 for the rfxcom and p1 adapter. He has a seperate driver spk but this isn't working either. Really weird. i must be doing something wrong. This is going a bit offtopic so I understand i need somewhere else as well

  10. Great job Arcao & jun!! Excellent. Got DSM 6 update 2 running on HP N54L AMD Turion II. Sooooo happy!. Migration went well, updated all packages flawlessly with one exception for my docker images. Everything running smoothly. Such a great job!! Much appreciated. Keep this community going guys!

Just to let you guys know, all is working fine.I ran into 2 small package related issues.

    1) Solved - Homebridge in Docker - you need to create a new container, making sure the network setting is ok (check -Use the same network as Docker host)

    2) Not -solved -I cannot seem to get the USB serial drivers to work with Jadahl's latest Domoticz version after the update for the use with rfxcom and p1 smart meter cable. This might be related to using another kernel image?

Just wanted to give some people a heads-up before they realize

    The rest is great!!

  11. Great job Arcao & jun!! Excellent. Got DSM 6 update 2 running on HP N54L AMD Turion II. Sooooo happy!. 12. Ah... that's a real shame indeed. It also clarifies that in DSM5.2

I have an intel processor instead of AMD. Xpeneboot rom obviously managed

to solve this. I really hope somebody is willing to pick this up, since I believe there are a lot of N54L owners.

  13. So I finally had the time to check. I have had xpenology for some years now and it's really great. I Run a HP N54l with an AMD Turion II processor and I was wondering if somebody made some progress with running DSM 6 on this machine bare metal? or is the only way currently Esxi?
