hey guys recently installed DSM on my ESXi install, i have tried to add a second nic to the VM but every time i add a second NIC the VM doesn't get past the jun bootloader and never loads DSM, i have changed ifnet_num and added macs but doesn't seem to have helped.
set netif_num=2
What am i missing?

Thanks so much for this guide, it works.
I was able to upgrade from 4.3 3810 to 5.0 4528 Update 2 on a HP Proliant N54L microserver using USB stick (using hardware, and not use VMWare) and I didn't lose any data.
The only small problem was I had to reassign rights from users to the share folders again.
Yeah permissions need to be re-configured during major upgrades most of the time. Glad it worked.

Inside the boot\syslinux folder is .sys .c32 .com reboot.c32 synology.png syslinux.cfg version and vesamenu.c32
I am using NanoBoot-5.0.2.1-fat.img
sorry usually its not using syslinux.cfg, edit that
Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I did what you said but it booted back in to gnoBoot.
I will wait for gnoBoot update. But thanks.
how wud it even boot to gnoboot if ur running gnoboot from the usb and and you then replaced gnoboot with nanoboot.

Is there a way to boot in to the "update" part? As I've said a page back I have no VGA lcd.
just press down twice and take a guess alternatively edit your .lst file in the img file to default to upgrade option then back to the normal boot option after installing. alternatively use 2 usb's
No .lst file in either the ing or if I burn it to a usb stick.
I have Boot(folder) zImage

Can't get ESXI DSM 6.2 to work with 2 nics! tried everything

i've managed to get both nics show up but no traffic goes in or out of LAN 2, i have another VM using the same "network" in ESXi running windows 10 and it can transfer/receive data fine so the issue is defintely with XPEnology, any ideas?
