Hay Jason, thanx for the reply mate - I did forllow the youtube video and Dfds tutorial... Now I'am on DSM 6.0.2 One thing I've encountered when updating from http://find.synology.com/ (browser)- keept getting error like no disk were found and serial port disabled ... I used the synology assistent and wverything went great no prob. Big thanx for all your help guys

Thank you so much mate :- that was a big help for a noob like me. Can I use the same method to upgrade (not a fresh install) from DSM 5.2-5644 on a barmetal mini computer (lenovo M700) to DSM 6.0.2 without data loss on the SSD ? Thanx in advnced Common guys cant wait for one to confirm the above - holding back couse of my lack of experience- Hope some one who knows if I preb. the USB with the latest boot image ver. 1.0.1 and install the DSM 6.0.2 over DSM 5.2-5644 will it merge my existing data on the HD and I can continue where I left off when it was on DSM 5.2 ? PC= lenovo M700 tiny. Thanx

Ok guys, first of all BIG BIG thanx for your great hard work. I may sound as a noob, but I wanna be very coution when upgrading to DSM 6.0.2 from the latest 5.2 DSM... Hope someone can confirm these steps to upgrade (Baremetal - Lenovo Thinkcentre M700): 1 - Flash the new loader boot image 1.0.1 to the USB 2 - Change VID & PID using 0x prefix 3 - >Install DSM 6.0.2 Is that it ? or did I miss something ? Big thanx in advanced Keep up the great work.
