It is not a virtualbox or esxi so i cannot choose the controller. Just a basic question can i not boot just with the iso/img file do i need the vmdk file ?

I have tried with SCSI but same issue.

Hi All, I am planning to test DSM as a VM on Nutanix Community edition which is running on Dell R730. I have download the 1.02a and uploaded the disk file and the ISO file attached to the VM. Additionally added 600 SATA disks and network card. When i power on the VM and search i am able to see it and start the installation but it fails at 0% with Format error 35. This is very evident that it is a disk related error but not sure whats happening. Nutanix is into hyper converged appliance and they offer community edition free for evangelist which comes with fancy UI and CentOS KVM as hypervisor. Suggestions for performance tuning my XPenology Hi all recently I have built XP enology 5.2 5967 on my old PC with below specs and also enabled SSD read write cache on the volume but unable to get more than 120MB/s while doing Cloud Client backup () and ~50 - 60 MB while doing native copy from Mac. Any tricks for increasing performance.
