    Isn't this slow IP assignment the same when eth0 is assigned an IP after booting TC Linux?
    Even in ds918+, the slow IP assignment seems to be irrelevant to the ext of the TC bootloader. I think you should look into your router environment.

    Nope. Booting TC Linux is fast, IP is assigned in 10-20 seg from power on.

    Testing with DSM 7.1.0 3615. Boots in 1 min, always.

    Attached /var/log/messages from last 918+ install.  Maybe helps

  2. Tryed again.

    Same problems, after install, on next reboot, about 10-15 min to get IP. Always the same problem.

    Installation goes OK. Download time goes long like you but 100% downloaded.

    I have done the last tests with the integrated LAN card. This time same tests with a new PCIe Gigabit LAN TP-link TG-3468 with Realteck chipset RTL8168B.

    1º No LAN link led after the reboot.

    2º Power OFF the NAS

    3º Power ON the NAS

    4º Now LAN link led blinks

    5º Makint a ping -t <IP> - Time 13 Min to get IP

    6º logging to DSM OK. Dissable IPV6 in Manager LAN options

    image.thumb.png.f2f7578a91c4056c49967f6c010ff2cf.png

    7º Reboot NAS. Making ping -t and gets 6 min to get IP

    Those timmings happens with PCIe NIC and internal NIC.

    I test a new installation for 918+.

    Is normal that in /home/tc appears the file ds920p.dts as you can see in the image below?

    The ds918+ does not use dts.

    Assuming you are using bare metal, try rebuilding it according to the guide below.

    It is a shell program that executes the commands listed above in batches and adds a little help to the loader build.

    tc@box:~$ wget https://github.com/PeterSuh-Q3/tinycore-redpill/raw/main/my.sh.gz; tar -zxvf my.sh.gz;

    tc@box:~$ ./my.sh DS918+

    Once the DS918+ has been successfully installed with this process,
    Let's talk about the build of the DS920+ again.

    I don't know if pocopico will check if I leave a log like this here.
    Do you know how to use annotations starting with @?

    @chechill

    Looking at the logs, I can't figure out why the r8169 NIC is delayed by 10 minutes.

    And it seems to be trying to install DSM, but the revision seems to be inconsistent.
    42661 and 42621 are different versions.
    42661 is the official version, and 42621 is the RC version.

    Sorry. can you check if i do correct steps?

    ./rploader.sh update now
    ./rploader.sh fullupgrade now
    ./rploader.sh serialgen DS918+ now
    ./rploader.sh satamap now
    ./rploader.sh identifyusb now

    ./rploader.sh build apollolake-7.0.1-42218

    ./rploader.sh clean now

    vi /home/tc/ds920p.dts   (edit my sata config)

    ./rploader.sh build apollolake-7.1.0-42661

    ./rploader.sh clean now; rm -rf /mnt/sdb3/auxfiles; rm -rf /home/tc/custom-module; ./rploader.sh backup now;

    sudo reboot

    Is this procedire right?

    Can you please reply this question?

    I must erase that config? Because always match the pcie_root nic adress with this esata port during the auto-detection process

  7. Hi Peter Suh,

    I'm a Asrock J4205 owner.

    Actually i'm doing tests with J4205 and a spend a looooot of time tryin to make functionally the DSM 7.01 and 7.1.0

    I dont'w know why but scripts and images form 918+ and 920+ doesn't work. Problems with SATA detection and DTS config.

    When config is detected, in DTS apears the onboard NIC Gigabit 13.0 in internal slots. Maybe it's the reason because we loose the IP address during boot.

    image.thumb.png.7436afe932a570db43d6e653cca5c584.png

    vi /home/tc/redpill-load/ds920p.dts

    image.thumb.png.6c2a607dfcff53976b29eb8a2ccfa622.png

    the motherboard has a m2 sata port also, but not have a esata port

    This motherboard has 2 internal SATA controllers with 2 SATA port per controller = 4 SATA ports

  8. Gracias por responder amocu.

    Esa información ya me vale.

    Yo tengo problemas actualmente al arranque. Se queda esperando a F1/F2 al arrancar y es un coñazo.

    Si arranca normal con esta placa, el WOL funciona casi seguro.

  9. Buenas tardes foreros.

    Dado que mi pc Lenovo ThinkCentre M58 se queda clavado al arrancar en la BIOS en el esperando F1 o F2... he optado por comprarme próximamente un hardware que veo que recomendáis por aquí:

    Placa: Asrock Q1900-itx --> http://tienda.lifeinformatica.com/asroc ... 2109-p.htm

    Memoria: 4Gb DDR3 1600MHz CL11 --> http://tienda.lifeinformatica.com/crucial-1082652-p.htm

    Caja: Tacens Ixion Mini ITX --> http://tienda.lifeinformatica.com/tacen ... 7379-p.htm

    Fuente: 300W incluida en la caja Tacens

    Discos: 2 discos de 1Tb que ya tengo

    Busco poder tener el NAS apagado cuando no lo uso y despertarlo via WoL. Mi pregunta es si la placa Asrock Q1900-itx es compatible con la suspension y el apagado automático. Recomendáis a parte otra opción?

    Gracias

    De momento todo funciona genial aunque en mi disco de 1Tb (volumen1) le he metido unos 300Gb y tras algunas pruebas copias y borrados, ahora el widget del almacenamiento me dice que tengo ocupado unos 630Gb cuando he mirado las carpetas y tengo como he comentado unos 300Gb.

    No uso las papeleras pero aun y asi le he dado al boton de vaciar.

    En otro disco de 1Tb (Volumen2) que me dice que tiene un espacio ocupado de 0Gb pero tengo realmente 145Gb

    Es un bug cosmetico o me estoy dejando algo por el camino?

    PD=No uso torrent ni plex.
