  1. Yes you are correct. that’s exactly how it works. I think it’s very misleading by Synology to advertise so proudly that they now support multiple domains. It makes people think they really separate them as separate domains. Dumping all incoming mail from different domains into one mailbox is not multi domain support.

  2. Has anyone successfully setup MailPLus with 2 different domains? My emails always end up in both mailboxes.

I tried and mail send/receive works fine but all receiving emails end up in the same mailbox.

    Settings:

1 user "testuser" setup in DSM

2 domains setup in MailPlus under domain dom1.com and dom2.com

When I send an email to testuser@dom1.com, that email is visible in both mailboxes testuser@dom1.com and testuser@dom2.com

Strangely, when I connect via IMAP client to one mailbox and view the email, it then shows as "viewed" status in the other mailbox.

Does anyone have any experience with mail setup?

  3. Hello All,

Has anyone managed to install a Virtual DSM Machine on DSM7?

I currently run DSM7.0 on 3622xs+ and Virtual Machine Manager works well.

Does anyone know how to get a Virtual DSM Image?

  4. Just to share some experience with the DS3622xs+ loader and how to get a SAS HBA controller to work:

I use a Xeon based server (32GB Ram) with SAS Controller in HBA mode, connecting 4x 3GB SAS Hds. The 4 HDs were configured in DSM6.2 as 1 Volume in RAID10. The Forum here says that in DSM7 HBA adapters are not yet supported but I got it to work as follows:

    - when configuring the Redpill loader I had to run the satamap command and despite the reported errors, the loader found my HDs after a few trials. Te loader does not detect any HDs if I omit running the satamap command so this is the essential step although it creates an error message stating that "there will be problems".

    - after booting, DSM7 immediately detected my old Volume-1 but reported 2 out of 4 disks inside the RAID10 as defect

    - nevertheless, all data on Volume 1 was available and accessible, even while the 2 HDs were reported as defect.

    - I integrated the 2 ("defect") HDs via the DSM Storage Manager normal procedure to rebuild a RAID Volume

    - This took 5-6h to rebuild and showed no errors. All 4 HDs are live as RAID10 again

    - Since then the RAID10 runs under DSM7 without any issues

  5. Hi everyone - I have managed to build and start DSM7 via the new loader but after booting Synology says my Volume is degraded. It seems that Synology only detects 3 of my 4 Harddisks and cannot repair the Volume unless I add another harddisk.

Since only 1 HD is missing, is there a way that I can manually add that drive to the loader?

I am using a SAS controller in HBO Mode managing all 4 HDs.

    many thanks!

  6. I have installed a webserver and recently rebooted the NAS. NOw I am getting an "error 503" webpage when ever I try to access.

Any ideas where I could look?

I have installed the following packages: Apache 2.4, PHP7.4, phpMyAdmin, MariaDB

I re-installed Apache and PHP but still getting the same error.
