Hello, It turns out I forgot to blank the pins on my card so while my server worked fine on a physical install, VMWare wouldn't pass the card through properly. I blanked the pins and now it boots normally I am using fresh drives and I have decided to keep my prod drives on DSM 5 for now. We will see how stable DSM 6 is with the new loader but I wouldn't move your data just yet is there is still some small issues that need to be worked out Big thanks to Jun, Trantor, Quicknick and all the other fantastic devs that made this possible!

Hi Folks, I successfully edited the vmdk to add my actual Synology serial without issues by mapping and editing the vmdk on VMWare Workstation I have successfully installed and updated DSM 6 on ESXi but I cannot boot with my LSI 9211-8i in IT mode via PCI Passthrough. When I add the card to the VM, It will disconnect me from the host and fail to boot. Anyone with this card encounter this issue? I'm using Jun's Mod V1.01. I've seen a few people say this card works without issue so I'd be interested to know your step by steps. Cheers

Does someone have step by step instructions for editing the vmdk file to add serial/mac? I have been running DSM 6 on bare metal for a few day without issue but I am trying to migrate to ESXi. Running into odd "Operation Failed" messages when trying to edit settings for example changing the port from 5000. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
