    Need driver for:

     

    3Ware 9690SA-8I 512MB SAS SATA PCIe x8 RAID Controller

    Can any one load or point me on how to load them into the .img

     

    The latest XPEnoboot dsm 5.XX .img had the drivers already.

    No Hard Drive Found I'm thinking no drivers for my raid card. Could you point me or help me to load drivers in to boot.img

    Expanding Disk Pool Question

    My server is currently expanding the pool, my question is what would happen if power fails or I shut it down.

     

    The reason for this question is since I'm in FL Orlando tomorrow we have the hurricane most likely we would lose power

    I have changed the bios to AHCI-Mode and am still having the same issue. The error is still saying failed to apply settings.

     

    One message I just noticed is a system event warning - Abnormality detected. All volumes have been unmounted.

     

    I think the next step is to test all the drives are working correctly.

     

     

    Check sata cables swap Working HD's connect them where the ones don't work see if the working show up. Upgrade Bios or downgrade. Try a sata card if you have one Reinstall maybe bad install.

    Fresh install? or upgrade? could you provide some sort of guide plz thanks.

    Probably has but I've read all 40 pages a few different times and didn't see any mention. Maybe mkdir will work I will test later. Yes baremetal install. Works great with a few modifications on Intel Nuc.

    Recently my server is been causing lag on personal computer. anyone experience this? Before it never cause this problem. I'm having to shut down the server so i don't get lag

    I got it working the first day it was out. on bare metal. but like eveyone said can't crate volumes. this is the problem we are all facing when updating thru Synology control panel and no new xpenoboot.

     

     

    I got DSM 6 working on a PC, not VM.

     

    The only way I got it:

     

    1. Restore default configuration, in a installed 5.2-5644 PC system.

    2. Boot with Xpenoboot 5.2-5644 USB pendrive

    3. Access web for first config, but not use "manual installation", I choose "install now".

    4. After several minutes downloading from synology, the system reboots with actual DSM 6.0.1-7393.

     

    I don't know if people can't update their systems or the problems about upgrading are VMs (VMware, ESXi) related.

    For now, the only service that doesn't work is "Resource Monitor", if open a message about network error appears, and close automatically.

    Any knows where could i find a 1U case quiet and able to fit about 8 3.5 Drives the new Lacie Big Rack its nice but they don't sell the case alone

    I opened a thread about clustering. The response I got was we could only do a HA "High Availability". there is a package on the synology packages called cms and it shows clustering i will be building a second server soon and let you guys know.
