stuckpacket Posted July 22, 2023 #1 Posted July 22, 2023 (edited) Hello, I installed xpnology using tinycore-redpill based on DS3622xs+ today and I do not see all of my drives. I have updated to DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 1 My server's motherboard is an Asus P9D-C/4l and I have an LSI 9211-4i (aka) SAS2004-IT with a SAS Expander card (RES2SV240). Motherboard has 1 SSD connected to port 1 and the LSI has 9 HDDS connected. All of the HDDS are connected to the SAS Expander Directly with 3x mini SAS to 4x SATA cables. LSI -> SAS EXPANDER -> 3x mini sas cables to sata 4x plugs -> 9x hdds. DSM Disk Manager is only showing 7 of the 9 HDDS and it is showing the single SSD. I have confirmed at boot time all of the HDDs are showing up and they also show using Gparted. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Edited July 22, 2023 by stuckpacket MIssing info Quote
bnokes Posted January 30 #3 Posted January 30 xpenology DSM 7.2 rr v25.1.3 3ware 9650SE-8LPML drive not showing in DSM when booted how to passthrough or show all signal disk drives (8) CPU xeon x5675 Only see the drives when I boot in bios area before OS loads and I see all the drive the controller see them and when I go in ALT+3 and change settings, every change I do still doesn't make DSM see the drives. Does anyone know any commands that can help be make the OS see the drives. every time I boot into DSM I do not see all the drives connected to 3ware 9650SE-8LPML. I have tried the command lsblk and it doesn't work, fdisk -l still doesn't show the disk. I will need command list help if anyone can help with this. Also in the RR setup I went in and added driver that looked like they would help with this controller, but nothing helped get those drive to be seen by the OS DSM Quote
