FromeMees Posted September 25, 2022 Share #1 Posted September 25, 2022 Hi, I have an XPE NAS with 2x 2TB HDD and 2x 500GB SSD. I have installed VMM and I would like to run a virtual DSM 7, but when I import the virtualdsm.pat. I get the message: The installation file is not compatible. Upgrade Virutal Machine Manager to the latest version. See the video of how I try to install it. I also tried another version of DSM 7 but this didn't work either. I run DSM 6.2-23739 Intel Xeon E3-1220V3 16GB Ram Can someone help me with this? Editor.mp4
apriliars3 Posted September 25, 2022 Share #2 Posted September 25, 2022 For vDSM 7 need to have DSM 7 and install VMM latest version. When you have installed vDSM 7 can restore your NAS to DSM 6.2.3. https://www.wundertech.net/install-synologys-dsm-7-0-beta-as-a-virtual-machine/
