Advanced Media Extensions patch?

Hi All,

 

Just set up my Proliant Microserver Gen8, running DSM 7.1-42661. I have imported a lot of my photos/videos into Synology Photos and am disappointed to discover that many of them won't play or even generate thumbnails, due to the requirement of Advanced Media Extension. As this requires a sign-in to use, I am wondering if there is any patch or workaround which has been developed that will let me somehow enable AME.
