Is the speed the same when transfering the files via SMB while Jumbo frames are enabled?
Maybe you can try this tool to get more informations on your network speed:

Short question: what did you mean with "...directly connected to the NAS"? Are you using a crossover cat cable or are all devices (NAS & PC) connected to a switch/router?
You should check (if using a router or switch)
1.) If "Jumbo frames" are enabled in the DSM control panel (MTU 9000)
-> Control panel > Network > Network interface > LAN X (where X is the number of your network card if you use more than 1) > Edit
2.) If your switch or router support jumbo frames
Most switches support jumbo frames and it can give a boost to data transfers.

Hi @ all!
My new powertoy is up and running (see: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6594#p39363)
Now I have a LSI MegaRaid 9260-4i including 2 Kingston 120GB SSDs left since I updated my workstation with the new 9361-8i.
The problem is that the 9260-4i's drives are not recognized as SSDs. I created two virtual drives each containing only 1 SSD.
Is there any possibility to get this working? Maybe some changes in the config?
Log from dmesg:

Aloha!
Just a short question about hardware compatibility:
I plan to build a "PowerNAS" with XPEnology 5.2 and an ASUS Workstation Mainboard.
Chipset would be Intel C224 or C226
CPU Xeon E3 1240V3
NIC Intel X520-DA2
Anyone who already runs XPEnology on this hardware?
Cheers

New HBA required: Minimum 8 ports SAS/SATA or SATA

Today I received an LSI SAS 9207-8i for SSD caching. Worked out of the box without any problems.
