Thanks for the reply. I have a gen 7 HP microserver. If I put a different version of penology onto this will the data still be OK, as in once it's installed and fired up the data will be readable straight away? Are there any tutorials for what you have described below? I am good at following tutorials however not familiar with what you described. Thanks again

Hi all Looking for some help please. I set up my HP Microserver probably 6+ years ago, it was running perfectly fine for 4 or so years, I then moved house, didn't set it back up and was hoping to turn it back on and all good. Now the USB bootable disc is dead. I have 2 questions, I have no idea what version it was running back then nor anyway to check with the USB disk as it's dead. If I do a fresh usb install with what ever is the current version, will this just work (I'm hoping yes but guessing no) If No, what can I do to get up and running again without ideally losing all my data. I'm fairly sure I backed the important stuff up a few years ago when it was running but not 100% sure. Would really appreciate any help I can. Thanks in advance
