Just ran the build, but still no good news. Frustrated... The post you shared, he didn't meet the nic problem, but he was stopped after uploading the pat file. Besides, he was upgrading to 7.X, but I'm fresh install. BTW, how can you tell which nic 'tg3, igb or maybe others' I should use? This step is to build the driver support, right?

Would you please help on this? Did you meet the similiar issue on N54L? Thanks!

So you suggest I use the same USB stick (with USB & SATA loader installed) and go back to tinycore, to run the commands above. The new loaders will overwrite the old ones, right?

Here're some of my updates: 1. I plugged out the PCIE USB 3.0 card and PCIE network card, boot the system, still no IP was assgined to the embedded network port. But the green light was alway on and flashing 5-7 times every ~30-60 sec, and the yellow light was off. Then I tried to give a static IP address with its MAC addr in the DHCP server. After enabling the config, I saw the green light flashed 2-3 times and then always on. 2. I reboot the system to tinycore linux, the same embedded port immediately got an IP. So my conclusion is the port is physically OK, but I don't know why it cannot get an IP addr after booting to 3622xs+ USB system.

I'm using N54L as a physical server, so no vm scenario:(

I did check the router DHCP list and found the IP addr of the box, but the light of the network port was not shinning. But I will try your method today. Anyway, I will plug the extra PCIE network card and USB3 card out of the box to see if the loading will be fine.

I found a method of fixing the network issue and now the installation has been done.

I have tried so hard and just fixed the network issue of downloading from github. I think the build process was all OK with no errors. After booting and selecting '3622xs+ USB', I just could not find it in Synology Assistant via WiFi, or directly connecting it with my laptop. The Hardware is N54L gen7, with a USB3.0 card and one extra network card plug in. Do I need to remove them and boot it up again? Besides, the network port I used during the installation and build was always the embedded port. I probably start the installation/migration this week and keep you updated:) yeah, cross my fingers HAHAHA... put the new disk to slot 3, create a volume and write some data. create the tinycore USB drive and dry run it with no problem. find the d-sub cable to connect N54L with the monitor.

These days I could't figured out the accurate way of installing/upgrading to 6.X/7.XMy until I got here. My N54L HW config is below.
