Hello,
A have a xpenology server with the latest synoboot. I have a problem with the UPS shutdown. The normal reboot/shutdown are working properly. But at the UPS shutdown (safe mode) i got the following messages:

I've flashed the latest Bios and the "Data Execution Prevention" is disabled too.

Hello,
The USB stick is good. I've tried 5 different USB drives with the same result. I successfully booted the xubuntu from the same usb stick. I think the problem is with the nanoboot and the HP bios. Maybe the BIOS thinks the boot is FDD not a HDD.

Hi,
I've experiencing the flashing cursor on the left upper side of the screen while trying to boot the nanoboot. I've written the img file with the w32disk imager. Later i tried the RMprepUSB method, this method prints GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB on the screen.
Thanks,

Helllo,
This method doesn't work for me. It gives me GRUB GRUB GRUB printed all over the screen. Do you have any ideas?
Thanks,
Big Thanks Killnfield. The solution you mentioned absolutly solved the problem.
This is what i did.
I first installed the img with Win32 Disk Imager.
Below the result. You need to copy these files to a folder on your local desktop. You need those files in the last step.
Now follow the steps below.
When it asks you to install MBR? Choose Yes
When it asks you to install grub4dos on MBR? Choose OK
A dos box appear. Press enter
When it asks you to copy grldr to drive? Choose Yes
Now you have to copy the files from the folder on your local dekstop.
When it asks you to overwrite. Click overwrite.
