  1. Hi,

I had to reboot my Linux machine the other day and since then I cannot connect to my NAS (which is a VM on that same machine).

From what I see on screen the NAS seems to boot fine. It's like it just does not get a network connection. The NAS has a static ip. The router does not see it.

    I'm on DSM_5.2-5644 Update-3 with XPEnoboot_DS3615xs_5.2-5644.5.iso.

Is there something I can change through the command line to correct this? Or is this a known bug that Update-5 solves? In this last case, how can I upgrade without the web gui?

    Thanks

  2. A follow up to myself.

I tried to assign a USB device to my Xpenology vm using the following command.

    qm set 100 -usb0 host=08bb:2704

After rebooting the vm and trying to play a song, I indeed got sound out. BUT...

The sound level was very low and very noisy. Worse, when Audio Station tried to play second song in queue, Diskstation webui and ssh got unresponsive. I tried to unplug the DAC and reboot the vm, but it made the host unresponsive too! I had to push and hold the power button of the machine.

    So it works, but no.

    What's wrong?

I wish I could at least test it on a bare metal setup to see if Xpenology could indeed use that DAC correctly.

  3. Hi/Salut shinrei82,

I'm looking to build a new NAS based on XPEnology in the coming days, and saw that you plan to also make it an Hackintosh. I would also like to do that for the same reason of using Lightroom, so please keep give news on your process.

    Thanks/Merci
