    DSM 6.2 Loader

    Hello,

     

    I'm at DSM Version 6.1.7 Loader 1.02b with my HP G7 Microserver N40L. In the past updates where a problem with AMD powered devices.
    Is it safe to upgrade to DSM 6.2.1 at the moment and if yes, which loader and image (xs3615+ at the moment) should I use?

    Congratulations! actually, I have one BAREMETAL N54L, updated to 6.0.2 update 5, too.

    but met some problems:

     

    1) /etc/synoinfo.cfg, changed:

    internalportcfg=“0x00f"

    esataportcfg=“0xffff0"

    usbportcfg=“0xf00000"

    but esata disk not appears.

    "appended SataPortMap=4" would help this? any grub.cfg sample lines? thanks.

     

    2) missing button.ko & acpid, can not power off when press power button.

     

    3) missing powernow-k8.ko, can not power saving.

     

    ...maybe need recompiled, still found no source.

    any help?

     

    I used SataPortMap=51 with my N40L and 6 disks, so eSATA disk appears and can be used like an internal.

    I read, but i am not sure how to check it. I try the syntax "append SataPortMap=422" and result found that DSM cannot find any HDD. Is that relate to my hardware spec? I don understand how to check the number of port and the number of controller.

     

    I have a gen7 N40L and use "SataPortMap=51" with 5 disks at first and now 6 disks without problems

    Hallo MYXOMOP,

     

    überlege gerade mir auch einen HP N40L und wollte mal fragen, wie gut das DSM darauf läuft.

    Kannst du mir ein paar Erfahrungswerte zukommen lassen, interessant wäre was so läuft und was nicht läuft (z.B. wegen fehlenden Treibern), welchen Speed man in etwa über die interne NIC schafft (100MB/s oder weit darunter?) und auch wie hoch der Stromverbrauch unter Last und im Leerlauf in etwa ist.

     

    Würde mich freuen, wenn du mir dazu ein Feedback aus erster Hand geben könntest :smile:
