Hello, I'm at DSM Version 6.1.7 Loader 1.02b with my HP G7 Microserver N40L. In the past updates where a problem with AMD powered devices. Is it safe to upgrade to DSM 6.2.1 at the moment and if yes, which loader and image (xs3615+ at the moment) should I use? thanks for the help

It worked after reinstalling ActiveBackup

The last method dosn't work for me. The first command worked, but I only get the this error after the second command: {"error":{"code":102},"success":false}

I used SataPortMap=51 with my N40L and 6 disks, so eSATA disk appears and can be used like an internal.

I read, but i am not sure how to check it. I try the syntax "append SataPortMap=422" and result found that DSM cannot find any HDD. Is that relate to my hardware spec? I don understand how to check the number of port and the number of controller. I have a gen7 N40L and use "SataPortMap=51" with 5 disks at first and now 6 disks without problems

Hey, will it run on an hp microserver gen7 too? I have a n40l. If yes, du I need the UEFI image oder legacy? thanks

Is eSATA port multiplier working on N40L with DSM 5.2? All already have 5 drives in the device, but running low on storage with them and need extra space. I plan to use an 4 oder 5 disk external drive enclosure. Any suggestions?

I only got error messages and the updates quits

i updated my hp N40L today and after a few hours i get mails about abnormal hdd temperatures (-1°C) The HDDs disappeared, but the volume1 was shown. After a reboot the disks are back again but the volume apparently is killed.....

Hello, the hibernation of the disks now work, when i remove the usb stick from the system But I need a second gigabit nic and wanted to know, which card can fit in the chassis and works with nighthawks image??? Can you help me? thanks

Which Image do you use for the update and how do you get the nic working? because this (viewtopic.php?f=2&t=555) shouldn't work....

@epkon I had sometimes the same problem in virtualbox. Sorry, but I didn't found a solution for this.

Hallo MYXOMOP, überlege gerade mir auch einen HP N40L und wollte mal fragen, wie gut das DSM darauf läuft. Kannst du mir ein paar Erfahrungswerte zukommen lassen, interessant wäre was so läuft und was nicht läuft (z.B. wegen fehlenden Treibern), welchen Speed man in etwa über die interne NIC schafft (100MB/s oder weit darunter?) und auch wie hoch der Stromverbrauch unter Last und im Leerlauf in etwa ist. Würde mich freuen, wenn du mir dazu ein Feedback aus erster Hand geben könntest LG, Locutus

And how much energy do your system take? (idle/load)

I consider to buy a HP microserver and want to know, what performance can be expected with DSM4.1 on it? Can I get 100 MB/s over the gigabit connection? I how many power is used under load and idle? Are there some things (at the moment), which aren't functional? thanks and best regards Locutus
