So what I am hearing is that 918+ is the most desirable and if i am unable to install then it probably means a compatibility issue and I should fall back to 3615/17.
You guys are great looking forward to getting this set up.
I have 2x4GB and 2x8GB. The system readout gave me a number of 23GB. Perhaps it was rounding down, or was not including some overhead or something like that?
Fantastic. Is the 918+ the most desirable I take it? My processor only has 8 threads, so that is not a concern.
In terms of compatibility here, if it does not work, will it just fail with a fatal error, or will it load with buggy software issues?
I have this machine:
970 Extreme3 R2.0 Motherboard
AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor
23GB of DDR3 Unbuffered ram running at 800 MT/s (4 sticks)
Several HDD's (all SATA)
Planning on purchasing a SSD for the OS.
Would this work at all? Would I need to purchase another Motherboard and Processor?
Any help to point me in the right direction would be useful.
Thanks
