ich hab jetzt folgendes gemacht
- andere hardware
-neue installation esx 6.7
- neuer download synoboot.img & treiber
- treiber eingebunden , grub.cfg unverändert
- VM von hand angelegt. ( alles neu )
- erster boot bis zum installations assistenten ok
- installation DSM
soweit alles OK
erster reboot >>>

morgen mal bios paar bios einstellungen testen
-
:: Loading module ata_piix[ 10.567218] BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at 0000000000000008
wechsel von xeon e3-1225v3 ( HP z230 ) ---> zu xeon e5-2660v2 (HP z420)
macht der wechsel von 3615 zu 3617 auf e5-2660v2 sinn ?
3617 ist ja für xeon v4

Hallo,

i have copied 1.04b to MBR partitions
-
my 2nd partition was only 20MB
i made a new with 30MB
i will try the w10 ubuntu howto
-
somehow the new extra.lzma does not fit on my 2nd partition.
how can i delete some unused modules from the extra.lzma file ? ( from windows )
i can open the extra.lzma with 7zip but when i try to delete something it says its write protected.
so far i found no way to edit rights on the extra.lzma

i can confirm exact this behaveure on z230cmt

qnap qsw-308 3port SFP + 10gbe + 8port 1gbe copper ( about 200€ )
or

-
-
-
i can test it if i only have to swap extra.lzma and debug via serial
3 hours ago, IG-88 said:if you still use jun's extra.lzma then thats kind to expect, after update you usb contains the 6.2.2 kernel and the extra.lzma for the old kernel 6.2.0
i'm looking for someone who can test my new drivers for the native vm-hardware vmxnet3, vmw_pvscsi on 6.2.2
atm mptspi, mptsas so lsi sas and lsi scsi from vmware will not work but hem native vm-hardware drivers should be able to replace them, that would be what you should test (added bonus that you can monitor serial to get console output)
-

hi,
i found something old about "older" hp systems
interestingly i have a dc7600 cmt for tests and this system boots with genesys's mbr loader
a dc7800p ultra slim does not
could you fix this problem ?
i have a dc7800 sff here, and have the same problem.
-

i was wrong
loader does igore the #
i thougt it was outcommented but when i delete the extra.lzma file , everything stops after grub menu

( hab da mal was gelesen )
