Apparently the unit updated by it self to 6.2 while I was at the door. So I unbricked it using the manual on the forum.

No, I had seen that the 6.2.1 caused a lot of problems. But maybe it’s the same issue. Can I unbrick this? Does it update automaticly? I only clicked on the install button and than I had to answer the door, when I came back, the pc couldn’t find it anymore.

I installed an Asmedia ASM1061 based controller: I was able to log on to the synology assistant and install the software. Unfortunatly I can't access it anymore, the PC doesn't even have an IP-adress anymore. Does anyone have an idea how this is possible and what I can do about it?

Tnx, good to know. I’ll try to ADD the compatibel disk controller. Can I find the list with compatibel disk controllers somewhere?

Yes I cleaned the drives before I put them in. Tried formatting them, cleaning them with disk part,... The mb is: Asrock ALIVENF6G-GLAN, I don't really know what SATA controller.

I can only select: Raid and non-raid in the bios. The non-raid is active.

I just installed xpenology for the first time on an old PC. I can finally see the PC in synology assistant but the system can't see any of my HDD's. Is there something I have been missing?
