Hallo! Ich will mich kurz halten: Ich hab mich damals vor rund 3 Jahren in Xpenology reingefuxt ohne vorhandene Vorahnung von so Sachen und es geschafft DSM 6.1 zum laufen zu bringen . Das Wissen von damals ist leider verschwunden Nun würde ich aber gerne meine vorhanden Hardware (alter Desktop PC) gegen eine stromsparende Variante tauschen. Im Sinn steht mir zB in J4125 Board. Kann ich da einfach meine Xpenology SD-Karte und die Datenfestplatten tauschen oder muss ich da wieder zum rumspielen anfangen? Weil wenns einfach geht mach ich´s damnächst, sonst muss ich mich da halt wieder reinfuxen ... Danke schonmal! lg Thomas

Hi all! I use Xpenology with a H110 Motherboard a G4400 CPU and 2x4GB RAM. I measured the power consumtion of the last week and it seems my System use 0,8kWh/24h So that´s ok at all but I just wonder as i´m running it 24/7 how can I save more Energy? Would a SOC CPU help? Or can I adjust something in the BIOS??? Thanks at all! Bye Thomas

Hi there! I have a Problem with my ddns connection. It worked fine, but then i have forgotten my no-ip.com Password (i must confirm my account every month), so my hostname expired and didn´t work anymore. Now i reset my Password and it says my hostname will expire in 19days so anything should work but it doesn´t. I can´t connect to my hostname anymore and i don´t know why. In Xpenology/Synology under external Access it says Status normal so I don´t see the Problem. Do anyone know what could be the failure? Thanks alot! Bye Thomas

Hallo! Ist wohl eher ein Synology Thema aber ich probiers mal hier auf deutsch. Ich kann meinen Xpenology Rechner von außen nicht mehr erreichen, meine Hostname XXXX.ddns.net kann nicht erreicht werden obwohl bei externen Zugriff bei DDNS Status normal angegeben ist. Kann mich nicht erinnern was geändert zu haben. An was kann das liegen? Danke!

Hi! I have 1 HDD on volume type Basic and at synology it should be possible to Change it to raid1 or whatever. But on my Xpenology System I can´t Change it. Is this normal or is it my or my Hardware foult? It´s because i have now 1 HDD installed and want to add a second and make a Raid1 ... Can someone tell me? Thanks a lot! Bye Thomas

Ok danke, habe jetzt entdeckt das ich Ports falsch waren, habe auf 80/443 geändert und jetzt geht's. Was ich aber im Zuge und auch wegen deinem Post festgestellt habe ist, dass ich mein Admin Passwort nicht mehr weiß. Weißt du vielleicht wie man das mit Xpenology 6.1 resetten kann, oder heißt es da sogar neu aufsetzen??? Danke!

Hallo! Ich habe nun das Problem das ich die Photo Station nicht öffnen kann. Denke es liegt an einem flaschen Port oder so, so gut kenn ich mich da aber nicht aus. Ich habe heute u.a. DDNS von selfhost.de auf no-ip.de geändert und auch ein bisschen mit den Ports rumgespielt, weiß aber nicht mehr genau was. Das sind die "Symthome": Wenn ich die PS installiere und auf öffnen drücke öffnet ein Browserfenster xxx.ddns.net:5011/photo/loginblablabla und die Seite melde: Es tut uns Leid, die von Ihnen gesuchte Seite konnte nicht gefunden werden. Ändere ich manuell auf xxx.ddns.net/photo/ öffnet sich ein Synology Photo Station Anmeldefenster und wenn ich mich eben dort anmelde bin ich drin. ABER ich markiere natürlich "Speichern" beim anmelden, das hilft aber nichts, beim nächsten mal beginnt der Spaß von neuem. Wäre super wenn mir wer meinen Fehler mitteilen kann ohne das ich stundenlang suchen muss, bin halt ein Netzwerknockerpatzl ... Danke! lg Thomas

Hallo! Ich habe mir DDNS über selfhost.de eingerichtet und scheitere nun daran ein Let’s Encrypt zu generieren. Es kommt immer die Fehlermeldung das bereits zu viele Zertifikate auf der Domain registriert sind. Wie habt ihr das gelöst? Am besten natürlich kostenlos ... Danke und Gruß Thomas

I use selfhost.de for dyndns and i get the message that already too much certificates are displayed for selfhost.de I also tried dyndnss.net but i always get the massage that the authorization failed. Don´t know why ... So I can´t find another dyndns-updater which is for free. What do you use? Thank you!

Ok thank you! I have read that the J5005 (don´t know About the J3455) has a RTL8111 Ethernet Controller make some Troubles somestimes?

Thank you @bearcat, in my german instalation guide that i have was Nothing written About the pid/vid and Sercial Code Change. So i did that but it seems that I now have another Problem. The Installation of DSM was 100% ok, but afterwards the new "Diskstation" could not be found. Maybe a Problem with the MAC adress? I did´nt Change that in the grub because I don´t know what my MAC adress is before creating the USB stick. Afterwards I can see it in my Fritz.box ... I think I´m near to the solution, so Maybe someone can give me the last Input ... Thanks alot!

No i did not Change them, but I also don´t know how because in my usb-stick there are just 4 files: extra.lzma, info, rd and zlmage The pid/vid should be changed in the grub.cfg file, but I do not have this ...

Sorry I´m new to Xpenology, what do I have to do to Change vid/pid?? What´s vid/pid anyway? Thank you for helping me!

Hi there, I´m new here and I want to build a Xpenology System with a Athlon 5350 and Asrock AM1H-ITX Board. I have seen there are a few People with this Combo and it seems to work. I tryed to install DSM versions 6.1, 6.1.5 and 6.2 with Jun´s or Quicknick´s Bootloaders. But everytime i get the error 21 after ~14% of Installation. You may know how to solve this? Maybe something´s wrong in my bios? Thank´s a lot for helping! Bye Thomas
