Ich verwende aktuell den Juns Loader V1.04 für DS918+ und bin auf der DSM Version 6.2.2-24922
Wenn ich es richtig verstanden habe, dann muss ich folgenden tun um auf V6.2.3 zu kommen?!

Während dem Betrieb modifiziere ich den USB Stick indem ich die extra/extra2.lzma wieder austausche und verwende die aus dem folgenden Link
extra.lzma/extra2.lzma for loader 1.04b ds918+ DSM 6.2.3 v0.13.1
scsi/sas disks will have no s.m.a.r.t. infos (see edit2 above), newer atlantic.ko driver 2.3.4, r8125 added to rc.modules

Den USB während dem Betrieb wieder reinstecken und über die Systemsteuerung kann der Download manuell angestoßen werden.
Im Einsatz ist das Mainboard/CPU: ASRoc J3455-ITX. Prozessor Architektur: Apollo Lake, LAN-Anschluss Realtek RTL8111GR

Fine, with this loader i can find the DSM.

I want to update my actual DS3615x system to a newer version. Therefore i used the Bootloader v1.03b.
The system boots from the usb stick - i see the message "screen will stop updating shortly, please open http://find.synology.com.
I check on my router if any device on LAN is connected.Even with a new usb stick where I replaced the 3 files (without modify grub.cfb), I can not find the device in the network.
Can i create a new usb stick with 1.04b 918+ loader and check if i find the system in the network?! After that i could plug the "old" usb stick and the system starts again?
What happens if i will use the 1.04b 918+ loader on my 1.02a 3615x system?

Thanks for the ideas - I still have the problem with no network connection
I checked into the BIOS that CSM is active.
I saw that the 3rd partition of the USB Stick was placed 4th in the boot order (after the hdd). I placed it at position 3 and hoped that the problem is fixed. Unfortunately without any success.
Can i do something else? -
I used currently the Jun's Bootloader 1.02 alpha for DS3615x on an AS Rock J3455 Mainboard. DSM-Version is 6.1.1-15101 Update 2
I want to upgrade to a the new DSM Version 6.2.
I prepared a new USB Stick with Jun's Bootloader V1.03b, modify VID, PID from the USB Stick and the Serial/MAC from my actual system. Also i have overwrite the zImage and rd.gz from the DSM updatefile.I replaced the usb stick, but i can not find the DSM and the router shows me none IP.
After that i overwrite the extra.lzma file from extra3615_v0.5_test.Same problem. i have no network connection.
Anyone an idea?

Hello together,
i want to migrate my system to a newer DSM Version.
Currrently i use the "DS3615xs 6.1 Jun's Mod V1.02-alpha" Bootloader with "DSM_6.1.1_DS3615xs_15101"
Is it possible to create a second USB stick with a new boot loader and the system boots up normally and then i can update the DSM version?
I have the Mainboard ASRock J3455. -

vor einiger Zeit habe ich mein System aufgesetzt und verwende aktuell noch den Jun's Bootloader V1.02 alpha (DS316xs).
Installiert ist dort die DSM Version 6.1.1-15101
Nun würde ich gerne mal das ganze aktualisieren und auf einen aktuelleren Stand bringen.
Ich habe gesehen, dass es hier einen Juns Bootloader 1.02 beta gibt und dieser wohl alle 6.1 Versionen unterstützt.
Wie gehe ich bei einem solchen Update vor?
Einfach einen neuen USB Stick mit dem neuen Bootloader erstellen und dort dann vid, pid, sn und mac anpassen?
System herunterfahren, USB Stick tauschen, System hochfahren und dann Update auf eine entsprechende DSM Version?
Oder gibt es noch mehr zu beachten?
Kann man auch problemlos den aktuellen Bootloader V1.04b verwenden und direkt auf DSM 6.2.1 aktualisieren?
Verwendet wird das Mainboard ASRock J3455
Über eine Rückmeldung / Unterstützung würde ich mich freuen.

Das Problem ist gelöst.
Habe einen neuen usb Stick mit gleichen Bootloader erstellt, dann lief das System wieder hoch und musste dann nur noch auf Migrate klicken.

Hallo zusammen,
ich habe vorhin das System neugestartet und gewundert, dass es übers Netzwerk nicht mehr erreichbar ist.
Ich musste dann leider feststellen, dass es nicht mehr bootet.
Es kommt die Fehlermeldung:
error: file '/zImage' not found.
alloc magic is broken at 0x5eeec1e0: 6e0e5720
Aborted. Press any key to exit.
Kennt von euch jemand das Problem und kann mir helfen?
Ist vielleicht der USB-Stick defekt?
Im Bootmenü hat man auch noch die Option "Reinstall" und "Force Install". Was bewirkt das genau und könnte das Abilfe schaffen?

hast du dich schon für ein NAS entschieden?
Ich bin auch gerade dabei mir ein neues NAS zuzulegen, da die DS210j so langsam in die Jahre gekommen ist. Zunächst wollte ich mir die DS416play kaufen aber ich denke, dass ich mir lieber ein NAS selbst zusammenbau und habe an das Mainboard "ASRock J3455-ITX SoC" gedacht. Bin mir aber unschlüssig, ob dies unterstützt wird.
Weiterhin frage ich mich was die Einschränkungen von XPEnology sind. Vermutlich kann ich weiterhin die Photo Station, Medienserver, Cloud Station verwenden. Wie sieht es aber mit Surveillance aus? Da gibt es ja Lizenzmodelle? Ist dies dann nicht möglich?

I want to create my first own NAS and want to use the mainboard "ASRock J3455-ITX SoC".
In the specification of the mainboard is written that this mainboard use "Realtek RTL8111GR" as lan driver.
In the Hardware support list i found only "RTL8111G" without R.
Can i use this mainboard or is it neccessary to find another one?
Also I've seen that 2 SATA connectors goes directly to the CPU and the other 2 by "ASMedia ASM1061".
Is this driver for the sata controller also supported?

Super - danke für die schnelle Rückmeldung.
Ich habe es gerade getestet und es lief problemlos durch. Nach 15 Minuten war alles erledigt. Top!!
Nach dem ersten Login war ich erst geschockt, da die Shortcuts auf dem Desktop nicht da waren und die Cloud Station noch keine Verbindung hatte.
Aber nach wenigen Minuten hat sich da alles aufgebaut. Manchmal ist Gedulg eben doch das Beste
