    Hi!

     

    I use this motherboard:

     

    GIGABYTE GA-MA785GMT-UD2H

    and i cant get dsm 6 loader work with this (cannot find nothing in dsm finder) i dont know how i can see some log in console directly or log file somewhere?

     

    I try with old 5 bootloader and then i see.... so i thik maybe there are some drivers problem?

     

    maybe some user have same motherboard or someone can just help me out here.

    How did u upload these files in to synology if i have no root account anymore?

     

    and i have x86_64 then that tutorial works?

    Sorry get the Log :

    Here is what I did: I Cant find my mistake:

     

    1) Putty SSH:

    chmod 757 /var/packages/SurveillanceStation/target/sbin/

    chmod 757 /var/packages/SurveillanceStation/target/lib/

     

    2) Then I replace the "ssd" in the /var/packages/SurveillanceStation/target/sbin/

    and the libsynoss_1.so in the /var/packages/SurveillanceStation/target/lib/

    3) Putty SSH:

    chown SurveillanceStation:SurveillanceStation /var/packages/SurveillanceStation/target/sbin/ssd

    chown SurveillanceStation:SurveillanceStation /var/packages/SurveillanceStation/target/lib/libsynoss_1.so

    chgrp SurveillanceStation /var/packages/SurveillanceStation/target/lib/libsynoss_1.so

    chgrp SurveillanceStation /var/packages/SurveillanceStation/target/sbin/ssd

     

    4)

    chmod 755 /var/packages/SurveillanceStation/target/sbin/

    chmod 755 /var/packages/SurveillanceStation/target/lib/

     

     

     

     

     

    Here are the Data after patching:

    ssd: 439.601 --: 0755

    libsynoss_1.so 4.491.077 --: 0644

     

     

    Original Data:

    The Original sdd has: 439.601 --: 0755

    The Original libsynoss_1.so has: 3.690.159 --: 0644

     

     

    So there is a difference in the libsynoss_1.so between the downloaded and orignial version

    Hi!

     

    Iv*e got everything work yesterday but i dont know what happend today :/

     

    maybe is it bevause in installed SurveillanceStation-x86_64-7.2.2-4649.spk

     

    i patched it with sspatcher-v061

     

    chek around littlebit in menus etc... after some time but now i have

     

    extreamly slowly xpenology and i get errors like:

     

    synology connection failed please check your network settings

     

    and i cant check updates.. says no connection etc... and i cant see almost nothing in menus...

     

    every boxes looks emty and so on :sad:

     

    haha... and now i get blank (white) login page :sad:

     

    maybe someone can help me?

     

    Only i can log in with telnet. SSH not also working to :/

    Ok,

     

    I didn't get it to run on the run option, only the install option. So I modified the linux boot cfg to boot the install option as default. It does take ages to boot so leave it for 30mins have a cup of coffee and come back to it. Then use the synology finder to setup with the pat file.

     

    I've tried getting quickconnect to function but not luck. Anyone else got it to work on DSM6 and Xpenology?

    Just thought I would chip in with my experience.

     

    I've just installed this on EMu/KVM on my QNAP server, more commonly known as Virtualization Station.

     

    No problems what so ever. All I needed to do was the patch ISO file and used the PAT file to install the DSM OS.

     

    I'm using and IDE ISO boot and normal SATA HD emulation for the Harddisk.

     

    On the NIC side of thing its the Intel e1000 adapater. and networking is working fine.

     

    Everything has worked great. I've created a 40GB volume I then use with NFS boot mounting to mount my QNAP shares to the DSM6 OS. :grin:

     

    The only thing that isn't working yet is the quickconnect, but I'm pretty sure that is down to some other settings (time sync or double NAT, I've already got a valid mac/sn pair) and will get that sorted when I have time.

     

    Hi! I use: DSM_DS3615xs_7393.iso for booting in my KVM virtual machine. Last thing what i did before some time ago i just update my DSM to vers 6.

     

    But if i boot then i dont found my virtual dsm in network.

     

    And log screen stays like this:

     

    Booting kernel...

     

    I read somewhere here before it is ok and run behind etc.

     

    I have there mounted disks in raw and IDE mode.

     

    As i do everything correctly or what i must chek to get it work back?

    Moving one server to another?

    What you exactly mean?

     

    I have disks in virtual machine: mounted in raw mode. 2x 2TB

     

    So i think it is possible to move drives to new xpeno.

     

    I have made backup from my current configuration in old server.

     

    Now i wish to move my stuff to new psyhically server.

     

    There are installed xpenology and are 8x 2TB disks.

    EDIT: i just forgot to tell that my first(old) server i was done yesterday that annoying DSM 6 upgrade.

    I hope that is not distrub me @ this operation.

    Hi!

     

    If i wish to move my xpenology to another server how is the best way to do it?

     

    Old xpeno is with 2x 2TB disks what is mounted in raw mode in virtual machine.

     

    Now i have new xpenology server with 8x 2tb disks.

     

    Can i move it to my new server with this way:

     

    All my settings and suff stays?

     

    Or i must put disks in my new server... migrate and then configure all again?

    Hi i was XPEnoboot_DS3615xs_5.2-5644.5

     

    and DSM_DS3615xs_5644 i made upgrade from menu like before:

     

     

    Login to Synology DSM

    Go to “Control Panel”

    Go to “Update & Restore”

    Press “Download”

    Once the download is complete DO NOT “UPDATE”

    Using PuTTY connect to the IP of your DSM, Make sure to LOGIN AS ROOT NOT ADMIN

    Type the following commands

     

    sed 's/flashupdateDeb/flashupdateDeb1/' /autoupd@te.info > /autoupd@te.info1

    mv /autoupd@te.info1 /autoupd@te.info

     

    Now go back to your DSM webpage and press “Update”, Wait for the update and restart to complete.

    All done! now you’re on the latest minor version.

     

    But now i have status migratable 6.0-7321 can i vut my xpenology work without loosing data & config or what i can do? :/
