Hi I have tried every step and it will simply not find my nas, I tried with a brand new machine with 6.1.7 update 3 in 3615 works like a charm, if I try to update to 6.2 with new bootloader it will simply not find my nas, I have a realtek nic attached to my MB it is a brand new I3 processor , I have extracted the images from the links you gave, replace the extra.lmz file and nothing seems to work. Can anyone help me?

Hi I have about 10 baremetal nas running dsm with juns bootloader and DSM 6.0.2-8451 Update 11, I have read synology updated to DSM 6.1 (6.1.1-15101-04) to address the samba issue which causes worms like wanacry encrypt everything, I was wondering if there is a way to just pach the samba server in the synology nas which are running 6.0.2 and address this issue or what do you guys recommend to protect those servers?

All hdd are connected and working fine with DSM v 5 the error starts when I put the new bootloader and try to update to v 6, with find.synology.com or the synology assitant I get the message:
'We've detected errors on your hard drives (1,2) and the SATA ports have also been disabled. Please shut down or repace or remove the hard disks to continue."
again this happends on 3 baremetal servers which work fine with DSM 5 I have done data scrubbing and smart checks and the hdd and sata ports are working ok, I ask again if anyone found a solution to this?

I'm getting errors on bare metal (using your disk image) though it's fine in Vmware.
Error is 'We've detected errors on your hard drives (1,2) and the SATA ports have also been disabled. Please shut down or repace or remove the hard disks to continue."
Any thoughts?
I do have a previous install on them (7393), so maybe it needs them cleaned up first?
Cheers

Same here, I also have "We've detected errors on your hard drives (2) and the SATA ports have also been disabled. Please shut down or repace or remove the hard disks to continue."
It's a bare metal UEFI/E3815 board with wiped disks (smart ok). Any idea ?
I have the same even if i remove the hdd it shows me the same error
*EDIT*
I got it working after a restart I could use the synology assistent to Migrate/Install with the 6.0.2-8451 but now quickconnect is not working it is working on a vm
I am trying this on 3 bare metal install with precious xpenology latest 5xxx working, has anyone found a solution to this? I have tried rebooting and nothing cannot wipe since they are in production.

I need to clear one last detail before updating, anyone can confirm if creating new disk group is working ?
Also can you expand volume ?
If anyone tested i would like to know.
So far I have migrated 4 of this from v5 to v6 you need to change de vid/pid and then edit synoinfo.conf to enable SHR, so far I have been able to expand with no problems, to edit synoinfo.conf you must ssh and then follow this to enable SHR with sudo and vi:
edit /etc.defaults/synoinfo.conf
comment out/delete
supportraidgroup="yes"
then add
support_syno_hybrid_raid="yes"
