Well, I figured I lost everything I had anyway so I shut the server down and removed the thumb drive.
I reformatted it and expanded the partition, reinstalled the software and started the machine back up.
I now have a healthy Synology server and didn't lose any of my files.
Thanks everybody for your help.

I'm having a similar problem.
I and running 4.3 as jbod and I had a Volume Crash.
I rebooted and all my files are still there but getting a message that says:
USB Disk 1: Your disk space is running out.
Please add or replace disks to expand the storage.
I'm using an 8Gb thumb drive and I havent put anything on it but the files when I first started out.
Does this mean for me to format the thumb drive and reinstall the original files?
I won't lose my files?
Thanks

First I did the bios hack and then installed a Highpoint Rocket 622 eSata port pci express 2.0x1 controller card.
I have the eSata cable going from one of the card ports to a SansDigital TR4M+BNC Tower Raid 4 eSata tower.
Working great.

I have successfully enabled the port multiplier.
I installed a port multiplier card, installed four 2Tb drives into the SansDigital box, went into Synology to manage the discs and I now have 4 more drives.

I'm currently running v4.3 DSM on my HP n54l.
The bios hack has been done and I have 1 250gb drive and 3 3TB drives in the bays running as jbod.
Can I shutdown the unit and move the 250Gb drive to the ood area and then put another 3tb drive in the empty bay without loosing my data?
Thanks

I'm running xpenology 4.3 on a n54l machine. It also has the bios hack done.
I would like to add a SansDigital esata box to this.
Is it possible?
Would I have to enable a port multiplier on eSata and how do I do that?
Thanks
