    guys, is there something wrong with the 6.2.4 loader?

    I have an Hp Gen 8 , with esxi, the bootlader is on sata disk 0:0 , my extra hard disk is at sata disk 0:0

    i have below configured

        "SataPortMap": "2",
        "DiskIdxMap": "00"

    if i do this : sudo ./rploader.sh build bromolow-7.0.1-42218

    i can perfect install a DSM 7 system, it works perfect had it running for a few days, during .pat upload the installed told me DSM is going to be installed on DISK 2

    i do the exact same process, now with this command, a clean host in esxu

    sudo ./rploader.sh build bromolow-6.2.4-25556

    i upload that specific pat file, again i get the message that it will install on disk 2 , it completes to 100%

    i do a reboot, but its back at the setup start again?? for a new .pat file upload?

    whats wrong?

    After this reboot, i'm back at point 1

    what could be wrong?

    Any chances you could share your VM config that you used for your DSM 7 build?

    I got a HP Microserver Gen 8 also, running ESXi 6.5 U3; spent most of yesterday trying to tinker and just couldn't get it to install.

    Thanks in advance!

  2. Hi Folks,

    I'm a little confused on what the process is to upgrade the XPEnoboot version from 5.1-5022.3 to 5.1-5055.1 to allow me to update the DSM version from DSM 5.1-5022 Update 5 to DSM 5.1-5055.

    Can anyone help?

    Am currently running XPEnology on VMware ESXi on my Microserver Gen 8.

    Cheers,

    Dee

  3. Hi All,

    have accidentally updated to DSM 5.2 (thinking I was upgrading to DSM 5.1-5022 Update 5). I have seen a similar thread (viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5915) that has some details at a link on the last post on how to downgrade from 5.2.

    However, I have a couple of 'uh-oh's that I need help with

    1. I do not have SSH enabled, is there a way to do this from the XPEnoboot console window (I have XPEnology installed as a VM on VMware ESXi)?

    2. Is there any way to create a configuration backup from the XPEnoboot console window / SSH if it gets enabled?

    For now, it seems that all of the services in the background are still running so I still have access to all my data. Any help would be great.

    Cheers in advance
