  1. Hi everyone, i have a little question about hyper-v and xpenology's storage manager..

    I'm running a VM on hyper-v server 2012 r2, i use XPEnoboot 5.2-5592.2 and DSM 5.2-5592 Update 2

Opening "Storage Manager" i can see my three hard drives, it populates the fields model, manufacturer, status, 4k, and size but it does not show firmware, serial, temperature and S.M.A.R.T.

In Hyper-V I load the drives via virtual SCSI controller in pass-through mode, physical hw is a standard HP N54L running the last modified BIOS and the optimal setting that were specified on xpenology.nl

I'd like to view those informations and i was wondering if the "problem" may be due to a missing\damaged driver

    Any help is appreciated!

PS: thank you so much for this awesome project!!!

  2. Ciao,

Prima di tutto mi raccomando di installare la versione del bios del primo ottobre 2013 e non quella del 2011 perché presente problemi con le ultime versioni di xpenology.

Fatto ciò entra nel bios e imposta come segue le configurazioni indicate:

In "Chipset --> Southbridge Configuration --> SB SATA Configuration"

    OnChip SATA Channel – Enabled

    OnChip IDE Type – IDE

SATA IDE Combined Mode = Disabled

SATA EPS on all PORT = Enabled

SATA Power on all PORT = Enabled

Infine in "Advanced > IDE Configuration"

Embedded SATA Link Rate = 3.0Gbps MAX

Questa configurazione ti permetterà anche, qualora ti interessasse, di utilizzare un sesto disco collegandolo alla porta esata posteriore.

    Buon divertimento! ^^
