I figured it out for those also wondering:
First update from DSM GUI manually using PAT file downloaded from site:
https://www.synology.com/en-nz/support/download/DS3622xs+?version=7.1#system
Second boot into TCRP and run:
./rploader.sh update
./rploader.sh fullupgrade
./rploader.sh backup
./rploader.sh postupdate ds3622xsp-7.1.1-42962
exitcheck.sh reboot -
- Outcome of the update: SUCCESSFUL
- DSM version prior update: DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 1
- Loader version and model: Tinycore-Redpill v0.9.4.3 - DS3622xs+
- Using custom extra.lzma: NO
- Installation type: BAREMETAL - Fatal1ty B450 Gaming-ITX/ac
- Additional comments: Upgraded to DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 5 via GUI manually & rebooted to TinyCore for loader updates
./rploader.sh update
./rploader.sh fullupgrade
./rploader.sh backup
./rploader.sh postupdate ds3622xsp-7.1.1-42962
exitcheck.sh reboot -

You download the desired PAT file from synology site and browse to control panel -> updates in the DSM GUI itself and thats where it asks for the PAT file (under manual install).
I waited for the countdown timer for reboot to finish and then booted in TCRP to complete the rest.
Obviously take backups of existing USB configuration / your data sitting on DSM HDD's if you can before attempting any of this 😃 otherwise, update at your own risk.
