Hello everyone. I am located in Tucson, Arizona. I am old(er). I started off running a bulletin board system (BBS) on an Apple II+ platform back in 1985 - anyone remember 300baud dial-up modems? Watch "Halt and Catch Fire" series on Netflix. Since then, have been very involved with technology, but not an expert. I am a HAM radio operator - got my license in the early 90s. Currently work at home with a full Ubiquiti network with an Untangle firewall that I configured myself. Been playing with several RaspberryPis, home automation, DAKBoard, PiHole, and purchased a Dell R710 for tinkering and learning ESXI. After successfully updating the R710 to all the latest firmware *boy that was fun*, I spend several months configuring several VMs on ESXI and experimenting with each. I just blew that all away and ordered an LSI 9211-9i SAS card to try TrueNAS Core for a bit. Also interested in making XPEnology work on this R710 hardware. I am very willing to learn.
