  1. System Config:

    CPU- Intel Core i5 3570

    MB- Intel H61

    HDD/SSD- As below

    SATA Controllers- 1.  Intel Corporation 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller (rev 05) (4 SATA3 Ports)

                                  2. Marvell Technology Group Ltd. Device 9215 (rev 11) (4 SATA3 Ports)

    Issue:

    Found "00:1f.2 Intel Corporation 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller (rev 05)"
    Detected 6 ports/3 drives. Bad ports: 3 4. Override # of ports or ENTER to accept <6>

    Found "03:00.0 Marvell Technology Group Ltd. Device 9215 (rev 11)"
    Detected 4 ports/0 drives. Override # of ports or ENTER to accept <4>

    Computed settings:
    SataPortMap=64
    DiskIdxMap=0006

    WARNING: Bad ports are mapped. The DSM installation will fail!

    Port 3, 4 aka bad ports don't even exist on board.  DSM working fine.

    Drive 1/4 are on Marvell Controller and Drive 11/12 are on Intel onboard SATA Controller.

    Edit: Tried putting all 4 drives in Intel Controller and only 3 are detected.So it seems one physical sata port is mapped as Bad port although same is working fine in other OSes including TCRP.

    pid/vid should be replaced with that of your usb stick.  It should not be used as I wrote it.  The only thing I want to emphasize is this.  SataPortMap": "",
         "DiskIdxMap": "" And that black console has nothing more to do.  Another need to type find.synology.com in your PC's web browser and monitor the IP assignment.

    😁 Honest mistake. Will do that today evening. I too was confused as to why json file is showing different VID/PID as well as MAC ID than actual hardware.

              "support_memory_compatibility" : "no"

    },
      "ramdisk_copy": {

    }

    }

    Done it. No result. Same status.

  4. Tried again with DS3622xs+. Sata controller and port mapping went ok  but same issue again ..

    It looks that you will need the following modules :

    Found SATA Controller : pciid 1022d00007801  Required Extension :
    No matching extension

    Any extention available or any way to add it ?

  5. Tried to install with DS1621+ but encountered this error :

    It looks that you will need the following modules :

    Found SATA Controller : pciid 1022d00007801  Required Extension :
    No matching extension

    As per lspci, the sata controller is as below:

    00:11.0 SATA controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD] FCH SATA Controller [AHCI mode] (rev 40)

    After creation of bootable USB, stuck at this

  6. Hardware:

    C2Q Q6600

    Intel MB

    2x 2TB HDDs

    2x2 GB DDR2

    Setup was working fine for a week, then I upgraded RAM to 4x2 GB DDR2.

    Then system refused to boot.

    Tried 3 different pen drives to reinstall, but it stucks while booting TCRP at "Loading Kernel" then black screen and no Tiny Core GUI. System also not available on network.

    Tried same pen drive on my laptop and it works fine.

    Also removed both HDDs still same status.

    Any help would be highly appreciated.

  7. System Info:

    Intel G41 Board

    Intel Q9400 CPU

    8GB RAM

    2X 2 TB WD HDDs

    I installed DS3622xs+ . It went fine and installed correctly. Made a Plex server, uploaded the media. It was working good.

    Then I had to shift the house. During shifting, USB Pen Drive got lost.

    Now I again tried to install same system, but I am getting countinuous error about pat file being corrupt.

    Tried 3 different pen drives. No luck.

    System is headless.

    Do I need to connect monitor and select SATA during boot ?

    Do I need to format HDDs ?

    Please help me out.

    Try it with the DS3622xs+.
    In the past, my first Xpenology had similar specifications to yours.
    At the time, I used DS3615xs,
    A better DS3622xs+ is available now.

    Thanks. Used the same . Working perfectly. I have one more query.

    DSM shows 12 HDD support. My board has 4 sata ports.

    Can I add PCI Express to SATA addon board to increase the sata ports ?
