Tutorial: Install DSM 6.2 on ESXi 6.7 in Tutorials and Guides Posted August 7, 2020 · Edited August 7, 2020 by chtugha Hi guys, I'm successfully running several Xpenology VMs very stable since years in a productive environment. Never had any issues so far. But now I'm biting my teeth out trying to install a new VM on ESXI 6.7. Everything is working fine - up to the "DSM-6.2.3-25426 update 2". FixSynoboot.sh is of course installed. There is nothing fancy on this new vm: 3516xs with 1.03b loader. 2 SATA Controllers, one for synoboot.vmdk, and one for the system volume. The update fails every time telling me the file might be damaged. Any help would be appreciated. Edit: well.. I found the solution: The provided script was formatted wrong. You had to run sed -i -e 's/\r$//' FixSynoboot.sh under /usr/local/etc/rc.d/ to fix the script.
