[New Xpenology NAS with existing parts]

I would like to put together an XPEnology NAS from leftover parts, which will serve as a backup for my new DS218 +. I've already read through some threads, but since these are partly outdated, I wanted to ask you, which combination is the most recent and most stable for an own build?

 

I would use a fractal node 304 with 6 HDDs (with the help of an additional SATA controller).

 

Is Intel Ethernet still important in the selection or is there now support for Realtek and Co.?

I´m here because i want to build my first Xpenology NAS after I already have tried several FreeNAS, Nas4Free and OMV builds.

 

I already own a DS215j and a DS218 + and an old Zyxel NSA325V2.

ich würde gerne aus übriggebliebenen Teilen ein XPEnology NAS zusammenbauen, das als Backup (und für ein paar Spielereien) für meine neue DS218+ dienen soll. Hab mir schon einige Threads durchgelesen, da diese aber teilweise veraltet sind, wollte ich euch hiermit fragen, welche Kombi die aktuellste und stabilste für den Eigenbau ist. Als Gehäuse wäre ein Fractal Node vorgesehen und es sollen 6 HDDs angesprochen werden (mit Hilfe eines zusätzlichen SATA-Controller im Steckplatz). Ist Intel Ethernet noch immer wichtig bei der Auswahl oder besteht mittlerweile auch Untersützung für Realtek und Konsorten?
