The module they are trying above is for DSM 7.2.
    7.2 uses kernel version 4.4.302+.
    7.1 uses kernel version 4.4.180+.
The link you shared is for 7.1 and is not kernel version compatible.
The module for 7.2 was recompiled by pocopico in response to kernel version 4.4.302+, but the reason for not working seems to be elsewhere.

I don't have a problem with it. It doesn't work for him. No discs found. I don't understand why he it forcing dsm7.2.

Tell me please. After the complete installation procedure:

I'm changing the user_config.json parameters manually SataPortMap.
Do I need to follow the steps:

I'm trying to choose the parameters so that DSM can see my disks.

    Try

    ./rploader.sh ext ds3622xsp-7.2.0-64561 auto

    ./rploader.sh satamap now

    /rploader.sh build ds3622xsp-7.2.0-64561 withfriend

    Hi.

I've asked this question in the noob lounge and nobody replied, but this case seems to be very common.

I've installed DSM 7.1.1-42962 as VM on ESXI using image build with TinyCore RedPill Loader (withfriend) and I've installed update 5 on DSM. Initially I've selected E1000e network adapter in ESXi and now I would like to change it to VMXNET 3. Synology VM will not boot after that change (it doesn't have adequate network drivers, I think). So I thought that I can add these drivers using TCRP Image Build again. I've executed these commands:

    ./rploader.sh fullupgrade

    ./rploader.sh serialgen DS918+ realmac

    ./rploader.sh satamap

    ./rploader.sh build ds918p-7.1.1-42962 withfriend

    ./rploader.sh backup

    exitcheck.sh reboot

The problem is that after rebooting, DSM has complained that there is something wrong with system partition (I think that it expected system with Update 5, but TCRP has build image without any updates). I've restored system partition from backup and configured network adapter as E1000e, so now it's working again.

My question is: how to properly add VMXNET network driver using TCRP?

    Hello,

    ./rploader.sh ext ds918p-7.1.1-42962 auto

    or

    ./rploader.sh ext ds918p-7.1.1-42962 https://github.com/pocopico/rp-ext/blob/main/vmxnet3/rpext-index.json

    from pocopico/rp-ext repo (https://github.com/pocopico/rp-ext)
