  1. The card I ordered has got 2 chips on it, so only 2 of the 4 sata ports worked.

I suspect only the working chip is a Marvell 88SE9215

Ive ordered the card (above) thats confirmed to work with Xpenology, it only has 1 chip (Marvell 88SE9215) which drives all 4 sata connections.

I'll let you know what happens when it arrives.

  2. Just found this:

    https://xpenology.org/ search for 4-Port Internal SATA3

Here is the card thats been confirmed as compatible: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00AZ9T3OU/ref=as_li_tl?slotNum=10&ie=UTF8&linkCode=g12&linkId=N6LNKJWVN7MPD22U&imprToken=M9OUQiyIBF97EfSr8DMKKw&creativeASIN=B00AZ9T3OU&tag=jmf421-21&creative=390957&camp=1789

  3. HI guys,

I am running Xpenology on an older Asus P5QL/EPU motherboard with the latest bios.

This motherboard doesnt see any drives over 2TB.

Is there a Sata controller card that will work on this board with Xpenology to see 3TB drives?

  4. Hi Guys,

I recently built an xpenology server for backup purposes.

My question is: can i get the custom built xpenology to turn on at a set time by using the xpenology DSM software.

I have a synology server and I can get this to turn on and off at set times by using the software (DSM) but I cant seem to be able to do the same thing with the xpenology build. To achieve this I have to set it to turn on in the bios, which isnt always sucessfull.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Mike
