Any hint how to make this (post from darkstar) work in gnoboot 10.5?
The method mentioned in first page works for me in gnoboot 10.5

If your having troubles getting gigabit working.... Try a different cable.
9 times out of ten... Auto detect will down negotiate to 100m if it detects a problem.

Thats exactly what happened... Changed cables yesterday and it got resolved forgot to update here...

Yours is also the same realtek chip? What version of gnoboot are you using?

hello guys,
this is my first post here, and hope you guys could help me.
i'm running the latest dsm 5.0 with gnoboot's latest alpha, on a biostar amd e350 based fusion board setup.
everything works fine, except gigabit ethernet. the ethernet speed is 100mbps and not gigabit/1000mbps.
The motherboard onboard lan is rtl8111f ethernet.

i think the newer r8169 driver supports Gigabit ethernet on the RTL8111F chip, but i do not know how to load r8169 instead of r8168.
any suggestions would be much appreciated

Well that was fast
Congrats on the temp patch everyone... Am gonna hold back from installing in my main Nas for now, but will test on VMware and revert!!!
