[Tutorial: Install DSM 6.2 on ESXi 6.7]

DSM 6.2.1 with ESXI 6.7 Work very well with loader 1.03b, network E1000e & 2 sata controler & Microprogram = Bios (Not EFI)

On a Dell Optiplex 3020 I3-4160 & 8Go Ram

Bonjour,

j'ai actuellement un xpenology sous esxi 6.5 en DSM 6.1.7 avec un DS3617XS.

j'aimerai gérer la taille des disques avec l'esxi.

voici un  exemple de scenario parmi tant d’autres, si je cré un vmdk de 50Go, sur le syno, je crée un groupe de volume, puis un volume 1 de 30Go, et un volume2 de 20Go.

admettons que j'ai besoin de redimensionner le vmdk à 100Go, pour augmenter le volume2.

tout se passe bien.

mais le syno ne voit pas les 50 nouveau Giga

du coup rien n’est planté, mais je ne peut disposer de l'espace supplémentaire.

je pense qu'il faut exécuter des commande en SSH, mais la manipulation de volumes en ssh me semble risqué à mon niveau.

pourriez vous m'indiquer les manipulations à faire.

the processor might be the problem if it E5520 or simmilar the its Nehalem EP Q1/2009 and thats way older then the 4th gen intel core desktop cpu we have found as working min, yet (see my list on page 5), so not likely to work (on the other hand no gain with 918+ image, dsm 6.1 works stable so why using 6.2, nothing to win a lot to loose)

Hello, sorry for my bad english...

My ds3617xs on my ESXI 6.5 work very well with DSM 6.1.7-15284

But DS918+ dont have any ip adress with DSM 6.2 (E1000 or VMNEXT3).

My ESXI is a PowerEdge R710 (Old server of my office ;-))

his NIC is

QLogic Corporation QLogic NetXtreme II BCM5709 1000Base-T

Good luck to run DSM 6.2...
