  1. Hi guys,

i get this error message if i start a virtual machine:

    iSCSI:scsi.c:1330:vhost_scsi_ctl_handle_kick vhost_get_vq_desc(ffff8801a2400160, ffff8801a2400290, 1024, ffff8801a7327e10, ffff8801a7327e14, (null), (null)) failed, ret=-14

I have no idea how i can resolve this problem. (Maybe new driver?)

    Hope you can help me.

    Thank you in advance!

  2. They compile well with some warning , usefull to add new drivers not included in standard synology distribution.

A usefull kernel module is config.ko, it exports kernel config into /proc

Do you compile using their scripts/tools? It would've being great if you could write some instructions on what is needed to compile the kernel from source.

I will arrange a Howto in the afternoon

    Would be very nice

  3. Just did vid/pid and serial and time to show menu in conf.

Bios is set to boot from usb.

perc 6i set raid 5 with six drives.(shows as disk 4th sata)

    What loader are you using?

I guess he is using Jun's Loader 1.01

Running r710 with no issues here.

    Juns 1.01

But he wrote, that he have an PERC 6I RAID Controller. I have an "external" RAID controller (PERC H700) I will test if it works and i will tell you.

    I use Jun's Loader 1.01 (DSM 6.0.2)

You have to create an RAID volume at the (Hardware) RAID controller. (e.g. RAID 5)

Then the disk(s - all RAID disks you created in Hardware RAID config) will be detected from DSM and you can run the installation. In the DSM disk manager i choose not an RAID (because only one big disk will be shown). Use "basic" instead. The "failure security" will be handled from your Hardware RAID controller.

    There you go.

    It works! Very nice

Thank you very much @Salah @Polanskiman

  5. Servus,

  7. Hi All,

Today I tried to install XPenology on a Dell poweredge with PERC raid controller. The first steps of the tutorial went well. Running the bootloader from the USB stick succeeded. The diskstation is detected by the synology assistant, but when the webpage opens the the message ' no harddisks detected' pops up. Does anyone know how to solve this issue? Offcourse the 2 harddisks are installalled hardware wise and raid was set properly.

    Any help is welcome,

    Regards,

    Sytse

    Hi Sytse,

do you have an solution for your Problem?

I also want to install DSM 6 on a DELL Server with PERC raid controller (with Jun's Loader).

    Thanks

  8. Dear,

Could you add a drive for Dell PERC 6/I Integrated Adapter?

    thank you so much.

I also need the DELL RAID driver for Jun's Loader. If somebody have this driver please tell me

I need a driver for PERC H700 Controller

    Thanks

  10. Hi There,

i have an DELL Server and DSM 6.0.2 installed (with Jun's Loader) it's working very nice.

But i would like to boot this server without the "boot usb stick" plugged in.

Is there a option to create an "self boot" partition on the internal "Synology-RAID Disk"?

I already tried to clone the partition from the usb stick to the HDD but it doesn't work.

    Thank you in advance

    P.S. Sorry for repost
