  1. Hello,

I just did a test run on a Asrock Q1900-itx MB but with no result. I prepared the usb stick with the correct VID, PID and MAC address (Loader 1.02a2 ds3617xs).

It starts and loads the kernel but my rig isn’t found on my network. I tried with find.synology.com and Synology assistant.

Is it possible that the drivers for my NIC (Realtek RTL8111GR) aren’t present in the 1.02a2?

    Cheers

    me too.

    Asrock J4205-itx MB

    DS916+ 1.02a2

It starts and loads the kernel but my rig isn’t found on my network, too.

  2. Tried both the alpha 2 loaders

DS3617xs works fine, migrated from DS3615xs without errors.

DS916p had network detection issues, probably driver related.

What does network detection issues mean? Did you see the kernel logs to be able to state that?

For DS916p to work you need the adequate hardware, and by adequate hardware I mean the CPU should be a braswell processors, 4th Gen Core processor or later. See here >>> viewtopic.php?f=2&t=20216&start=2530#p98458

My cpu Apollo Lake(J4205)should belong to 4th Gen Core processor or later。DS916+ can not be found on the LAN。

How can I check my log and guide me?

    thank you

  4. What speeds are you getting when SSD cache is turned off?

I think PCIE x1 is limited to 500MB/s (assuming PCIE 2.0), which would be shared by all devices plugged into this Interface.. No idea what the overhead is but I'd be inclined to make sure the SSDs are plugged into your motherboard, where they can make full use of the SATA3 interfaces (600MB/sec each)..

In fact, given the speed of PCIE x1, I probably wouldn't use it at all..

    SSD cache is turned off

Speed The speed is ok, are close to 100MB

    thank you

Do you run DSM on both mb at the same time? If yes then both has assigned the same mac and dhcp server can't assign IP. Ergo, you wo't find it.

It's because loader has hardcoded mac for 4 nics.

not same time,no boot at the same time

    B85M-ITX only for test.

what about the turbo boost on J4205, is it working? what is your over all experience with this board. currently i am using Q1900 and very happy with it and in the market for a second NAS.

    how to test turbo boost?

    I am also a beginner

Really want to be able to display correctly

    Thank you for everyone

It just wont be possible unless you recompile DSM from scratch and change accordingly the source code to match your CPU name and speed.

    Thank you for your answer
