Habe ein HP N54l mit 6 Platten, leider werden mit Nanoboot nur 4 Platten erkannt.
Jemand ein Tip wie man da Treiber für Nanoboot nachinstalliert/Updated?
Mit gnoboot-alpha10.4 funktionieren alle 6 Platten (DSM 5.0 4458 Update 2).
Vielen Dank im voraus

Hi all,
How can I install Nanoboot in ESXI 5.5 ? is any Tutorial Hier ?
I have managed to install Nanoboot-5.0.2.3 DSM 5.0-4482 in ESXi 5.5. What I did was rewrite the syslinux boot menu to grub and use the partition scheme from gnoboot 10.5.
After this I created the .VMDK files with StarWind V2V.
The .IMG and .VMDK files are on my site http://www.xpenology.nl/boot-images.
A tutorial on ESXi 5.5 see http://www.xpenology.nl/vmware-installatie.
The site is in Dutch. Use the Goolge translate function on the site.

Ich habe endlich Nanoboot auf einem VMWare installiert, aber bei hochfahren bekomme ich die meldung " xpenology partition layout is not diskstation style ", weiß vielleicht jemand was das bedeutet? bei abschalten auch bekomme ich die meldung :
umount root
umount : can't umount /: Device or resource busy
umount fail, killall again
die meldung kommt 4 mal und nachher schaltet sich aus.

Ich habe Xpenlogy von hier viewtopic.php?f=2&t=514
auf einem ESXI installiert und es funktioniert sehr gut, Jetzt will auf DSM 4.2 updaten, aber ich finde keine passende Update!
Konntet ihr vielleciht mir helfen?
Ich bin für jede Hilfe sehr dankbar.

This is based on odie82544's DS3612xs_3202-Repack images, so thanks for those! Only the kernel, modules and linuxrc.syno are modified so far.
The archive contains both the .pat file for installation and .vmdk file for boot.
Create the virtual machine to esxi and add hardware:
- IDE controller with single harddisk (vmdk file in archive). Boot from this.
- PVSCSI controller and raw harddisks or vmdk files for data. I've tested with 3 disks so far.
- VMXNET3 network. Only single interface in bridged mode is tested so far. MAC address can be anything.
Follow the installation instructions elsewhere in this forum to install the pat file.
I wouldn't use this for anything else than evaluation yet.

Yes i did. i´m now trying to increase disk capacity from workstation and then upload again to ESXi.
Everything ran ok.

This topic is for OVF version (VBOX export, VBOX->Convert to VMWARE export) based on XPEnology DS3612xs DSM 4.1 build 2668++ (more hardware)
it's a fresh install, no password, DHCP ethernet and 2 disks :
-disk 1 200mb for synoboot (keep version to restore boot if grub loading error)
-disk 2 thin provisioning up to 20Go for system (373Mo used)
