    Asus 10GBE should it work?

    Asus 10 Gigabit XG-C100C
    PCIE network adapter

    DSM 6.1.4-15217 Update 1
    DS3615xs

     

    Tried the technical approach - just shoved the card in.

    Not seen in network interfaces 

    The bios boot reported a card - Aquantia?? (maybe, was very quick)

    Should the card work, or some drivers needed??

    We have just had a major power cut, followed by 3 spikes - on - off

    The Boot USB is no longer seen by the motherboard.

    I created a new one, it boots, but ...

    The message onscreen says 

    We've detected that the hard drives of your current DS3615XS had been moved from a previous DS3615XS, and installing a newer DSM is required before continuing

     

    Is it safe to click on INSTALL

    wired LAN, all connected via a switch.

    Error:

    I have an existing XPEnology synology on my network.

    Which is working just fine.

    Attempting to setup another for backup.

    Running new install of bootloader, and then Synology Assistant (and find.synology.com)

    can't find ANY Synology servers on my network

    EH?

     

    Wrong CPU reported

    DSM 6.1.4-15217 Update 1

    reports cpu as INTEL Core i3-4130 @ 3.2 GHz

     

    the system is:

    Intel i5 6500 Turbo 3.6GHz CPU (Skylake)
    Asus B150 Pro Gaming Aura DDR4 4K RGB LED VR Ready Motherboard 
    16GB DDR4 2133MHz

     

    cat /proc/cpuinfo

    Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6500 CPU @ 3.20GHz

     

    It works fine, just the Info centre reports the CPU wrong

    should I worry??

    DSM 5.2

    Had a few power cuts, now cant login to the admin/user web interface

    I get - System is getting ready. please log in later

     

    I can ssh into the machine as admin and root

     

    tried synobootseq --set-boot-done

    iTunes server settings greyed out

    not sure where the problem is?

    either xpenology or synology, trying to set up iTunes server (because I can!)

    click on the package in package center, get a dialog box where settings should go - but cant alter/click anything

    logged in as admin
