@hotbullet, I edited the synoinfo.conf file. Change eth0_wol_options="g" and you should then be able to at least use the Synology Assistant WOL.
If you did it right, you will see a checkmark in the Control Panel\Hardware\General.
@Zarocq, what have you changed to get your N54L working with WOL?
-
Yes, it's the same as I see in BIOS (onboard NIC).

I've changed the MAC in vender and it shows up in "Info" and in the Synology Assistant. Like I said, it works with the assistant but not with any magic packet. I even got it to work with DS Finder over the internet! All I had to do is forward port 9 UDP from the router.

My mistake,
I forgot to enable "eth0_wol_options".
But still can't get it to wake up with anything but Synology Assistant.
I would like to wake it using magicpackets.
Anyone?

Super work Trantor! Thanx
I using a new HP N54L. I was able to use WOL on 4.2 only with Synology Assistant. Never got to wake it with anything else. Installed Trantor 4.3 and I can't get WOL working at all. You guys with the N54L, how did you do it?
Thanks

Hello N54L users,
just to make this clear:
I have WOL running but the ONLY thing I can use to wake it up is the Synology Assistant on a PC within the network or the iPhone app DS Finder to wake it through the internet. Nothing else works. No magicpackets are working. I had this problem with 4.2 as well. So if you changed anything in 4.2 and upgraded then please tell me what you did in 4.2. My router also has a WOL function but this also won't work.
Thanks
