  1. Can somebody help me?

I have install beta 6.1 but noe is my xpenology bricked.

How can i restore it witout loosing data?

Oh boy! Not sure what led you to use this under dev. loader with an OS version not supported by it and to topple the thing in beta. To add insult to injury you did all this on a machine containing your data.... sigh.

At the present state of things I beleive you have 2 possible choices:

    1 - wait for a loader that is compatible with 6.1. This is not a warranty you will be able to boot dsm but there is a remote possibility that you will be able to at least install dsm 6.1 if and when the loader comes out one day;

2 - use a live cd of your liking (ubuntu for example) to access the data partions of your drives and recover all your data that way. I would personally go down this route if I was you, but hey since you like living dangerously you might want to wait untill a potentially working loader supporting dsm 6.1 comes out.

    In the meantime, good luck.

i have fix it witout lossing data only the settings.

i had an old hdd that i connect to te xpenology (only that one) and install it as new

wen it was ready i connect the other disks and it recogniced it and it works !

Did soneone know hoa it comes that i get an error wenn i have connect only 1 hdd on my q1900 and have the sata settings on 1 that i get an error and have t choose for force install in the loader?

  3. yes i have and it works great.

only you have to migrate in the synology assistant and not with find.synolgy.com

Could you provide us more information ?

    - Did you migrate you data or restored them ?

    - What was your procedure ? (put the new bootloader on the usb key, boot on DSM5 and upgrade to DSM6 ?)

    Thanks

First i had to set in de bios to boot from uefi usb

Then wait til it is boot and search in the synology assistant for the xpenelogy server.

Normaly it says ready to migrate or somthing (i have it in dutch)

Right click on it and choose install

The assistant ask you some setting and than ask for the pat file upload it and wait after 10min it is ready

    Thanks for your feedback H143!

    So, as I understand:

    1. you provided the new loader on the USB

    2. put the mainboard to boot from UEFI USB

    3. you choose to install (and not migrate)

So with that, you created new volumes, right ?

Everything working fine ? (quickconnect, ...)

you have to choose install and it migrate it to dsm 6.0 i keep al my settings

  4. yes i have and it works great.

    i had the same error.

you have search in synology assistant for your xpenology server.

wenn it is good you see it is migratable

right click on it and choose for install, upload the pat file en let it do his job that have work for me.

  6. How about my question why I got 2 drives only please? Thanks.

Successfully installed on my bare metal ASRock QC5000-ITX/PH AMD FT3 Kabini A4-5000 (4 SATA ports) with the last update of DSM 6.0.2.

However, doesn't matter how hard I tried, DMS only recognizes 2 SATA ports (intstead of 4).

From the specs of mobo, it says:

    2 x SATA3 6.0 Gb/s Connectors by AMD FT3 Kabini A4-5000 Quad-Core APU, support NCQ, AHCI and Hot Plug

2 x SATA3 6.0 Gb/s Connectors by ASMedia ASM1061, support NCQ, AHCI and Hot Plug.

What should I do in order to get all 4 SATA? I set SataPortMap=4 though. I don't mind testing anything if possible.

Once again, thank you those who have been working VERY hard to create DSM 6 new loader.

Do all 4 drives show up in the bios? What 2 drives are not shown in Storage Manager? Storage Manager will give you the serial numbers of the attached drives. Are the 2 missing drives connected to the ASMedia ASM1061 chipset?

Yes, all 4 drives showed up in BIOS when I checked.

    Ports SATA3_A0 and SATA3_A1: none

Ports SATA3_1 and SATA3_2: showed up in Storage Manager with SNs of drives attached.

"Are the 2 missing drives connected to the ASMedia ASM1061 chipset?" - That's my question too.

    Please help...

    Thanks.

Do you have already this running?

I want to upgrade but i have a asrock q1900 and this have also 2 drives connected to a asmedia chipset
