Hello!
I tried a new install DSM 6 in my HP Gen8.
I used Arcao latest image V2.
1. Make bootable usb.
2. Edite grub.cfg with valid VID+PID and gen8 mac address, with original serial.
3. Boot
4. I found the nas with web assistant.
5. I tried install and i received the 13 error message.
The Vid and PID is OK. Somebody has an idea what's the problem?
Do you have a valid MAC-SN combination in your grub.cfg (matching with your real MAC)?

I used e1000

For all KVM users, i did the following;
downloaded the latest 'jun img'-file
mounted with read-write permissions
edited the 'grub.cfg'-file with an valid MAC-SN (used the same from my DSM 5.5 installation) and the VID+PID (vid=0x46f4 pid=0x0001)
changed my virtual MAC-address (same as 'grub.cfg' via "virsh edit vm_name")
booted via text-console
used the browser to start the installation
used the official 'DSM_DS3615xs_8451.pat' file
created btrfs without problems
updated to '6.0.2-8451 Update 2'
Good luck!

After trying different boot images (gen8boot.img junuefibios.img synoboot.img or oktisme's image) I couldn't manage to properly start an DSM6 setup.
Getting an "installer page" isn't the problem... Booting to an actual installed DSM6 is
I'll try VirtualBox tommorow, but my end-goal is running DSM6 under an KVM host. Anyone tried that before? Tips/tricks? TL;DR-version of how you managed an (virtual?) setup?
EDIT:
"Failed to install the file. The file is probably corrupted. (13)" for example

Yes, Mailplus server and mailplus works like a charm. You just need to activate in mailplus server accounts which can use it. Its because only 5 accounts can use it for free. For more you need buy licence.
Strange, I've activated 1 user (my own admin-user) and later on a normal user. Both user give me the same error.
What's your setup?

Cool update! Everything works.
- virtual machine: in KVM with SATA disk and intel e1000 NIC
- boot: only works in "install" mode
- update: works fine
- hard disk mount: only ext4 (no btrfs)
One new feature I wanted to test is the MailPlus and MailPlus Server. Both installations went well... When opening the MailPlus webmail, I receive the following error;
"Sorry, this user account has not been assigned proper privileges to perform this action."
Tested it with a normal account and the admin account, both not working. Anyone else tested this feature/package?

As stated in my post; for all KVM users so I use KVM (QEMU) as hypervisor.
Yes I boot from the "Jun" boot image.
